Here is what my favorite bands have taught me.
Led Zeppelin- There's still time to change the road you're on
The Yardbirds- You must have a heart full of soul
The Rolling Stones- You can't always get what you want, but if try sometimes you just might find you get what you need
The Who- I don't need to fight to prove I'm right
The Doors- The future is uncertain and the end is always near
Eric Clapton- Time can bring you down
The Rolling Stones again- Lose your dreams and you will lose your mind
Led Zeppelin again- Let the music be your master
I wouldn't consider this next one classic rock, but it really speaks to me.
Kurt Cobain- It's better to be hated for what you are than to be loved for what you're not
