The bed next to me creaked as Josie shifted in it. She had tossed and turned all night, resulting in her having little sleep, which could make sense because it isn't her bed, but with her complaining, I thought she would. She didn't sleep much on the plane either, so I don't know how she'll be today

"You done yet" I asked, rolling onto my back, staring at the ceiling as she turned to her side. I can just imagine it like one of those movie scenes. A camera view next to me laying on my back as you can see her move over in the blurry background. Except, what she said next was no where close to being scripted like a movie

"Afraid not asshat" I turned my head to the side to see her. A smug smile drew across her face as I scoffed and rolled back onto my back to avoid her look. But even avoiding her looks, I still had to deal with her voice, which I was slightly annoyed with, for once. I had never expected to be annoyed with her. Sometimes it was just a playful annoyance, but now I actually was

"How am I the asshat? You took my shirt" I shot back, still on my side as she sat up in her bed. She kicked my mattress slightly before going on about how I spilt my takeout on her once we got to the hotel, which I did and apologized for. But, I didn't offer my shirt because she had other pajamas, which she said were for the following nights apparently

"You two shut up" Ashley called from the room next to us, beating the wall slightly to shut us up. It caught both of our attentions as I sat up and Josie peered to the wall, where we could faintly hearing Ashley moving around. If she could hear us, so could Jordan and Jenny, who were on our other side

"Sorry" she called to my younger sister, propping her back against the head board on her bed, grabbing her phone from of the charger and opening it, probably texting one of her friends in Maine or from college. That's what I thought before my phone dung from its charger, a message from Josie appearing

Princess
the walls are too
fucking thin

I look up, glaring at her as she kept her attention on her phone, not caring to see my reaction from the text

Ocean Eyes
ash just has
great hearing

Princess
really now

Ocean Eyes
yeah

if we were too
loud, jordan
would be here

Princess
ok

next time, don't
be such a dick

Ocean Eyes
too bad i got one

With that, she laid her phone flat on her bed, walking quickly across the room to the bathroom, where she throw the door closed behind her, locking it to. I snickered as I lay my phone face down on my stomach, flicking through any channel that had some type of cartoon

Twenty minutes later, most of a Spongebob episode done, Josie came out in a bathrobe with her slightly dry hair, back in a braid and a toothbrush in her hand as she cleaned her teeth. She came to the right end corner of my bed and stopped, looking at the tv as she continued to brush her teeth

"Excuse me" I gestured to what she was wearing as she turned to face me, taking the toothbrush out of her mouth and holding it up next to her head in a confused way. She drew her eyebrows together as she looked at me, waiting for me to comment on something

"I was watching Spongebob" I made the comment, not wanting to address her bathrobe for the moment

"And I was brushing my hair and teeth before I heard Squidward, and I had to know which episode it was" she explains like a child, putting an emphasis on the word 'had' before turning to head back into the bathroom

"Well- next time, have actual clothes on" I call after her, my voice a little louder than my normal tone as she holds up her middle finger while spitting out her toothpaste and rinsing her mouth out

She moves across the bedroom quickly, going through her suitcase, presumably looking for something to wear. She's holding her left arm over her body as she flips through each piece, throwing some on the bed as I turn some of my attention back to the show. I can still see her out of he corner of my eye as she grabs her clothes and walks into the bathroom to change

It sucks for both of us being paired together in the room. If she would've been put with Ashley, she wouldn't have to worry about her undergarments laying out or making sure the door is fully closed and locked when she changes, same with me. It would've been easier on us if we wouldn't be paired together. But here we are, stuck together because my mom still thinks we're a thing. Even after I tell her we're strictly friends, she tells me I don't have to lie and its okay to move on, even though I never have

I'm still in love with Christina, even when my mind wanders. I can't think about Josie, because I'm always come back to Christina and my past with her
