Niall:

What.

Just.

Happened?

I kissed my best mate that's what I did, not just once twice. And I loved it. I could kiss him all day. His lips were so warm and soft, so perfect. And the way he made me feel, it almost was unreal. I had never felt anything like that, not even with Alison. I mean it was always nice to kiss a pretty girl like her and call her mine but, Harry....there were no words. Oh God everything was so confusing.

"I need to go." I said to Harry as he climbed off of me. He looked at me worriedly as I stood up and made my way back into the house.

"Niall," Harry called. I could hear the pain in his voice. I was hurting him I could tell but I needed to figure this out.  I climbed up the stairs and slid into our bed. What was I doing? Falling in love, that's what. And I didn't like it one bit. This wasn't supposed to happen. I wasn't supposed to be gay. I couldn't be gay. Especially now that I'm in One Direction. I mean back in Mullingar I'd probably get judged but I'd make it through. There was no way I could come out to millions and millions of fans who wanted to get married to me. So I decided. I wouldn't let it happen. I wouldn't let myself fall in love with him. Which was going to be absolutely the most difficult thing on this planet, considering that I'm rooming with him (My idea of course), and I live with him. I'd just have to get a girl, break his heart so he wouldn't try to flirt with me.... No. I can't do that to Harry. I'd just have to get a girl. That would be my solution. To get my mind off of him .

"Niall are you alright?" It was Harry.

"Yeah, fine." I said taking a deep breath. He it goes, time to tell him.

"Can I come in?" He asked.

"Yeah." I answered and sat up in the bed. He pushed open the door and smiled at me weakly. Even with a half-hearted smile he made me go crazy.

"Look, Niall I'm really sorry I shouldn't have." He said.

"You're right." I agreed.

"I won't ever do it again." He promised.

"Me either, Harry I don't have feelings for you in that way." I lied.

He sighed.

"I know." He mumbled. "I shouldn't of tried it, I'll get over it Niall. Don't worry about me. I've gone 3 years without anyone noticing, I'm good at hiding it." He said breathlessly. "I'm going to talk to Lou." He said his voice cracking on the last word.

Great, I had made him cry. Why was I such an Idiot? He made his way out of our room and I watched out the window as he went to Lou, who then wrapped his arms around Harry's shaking body. I bit my lower lips to prevent the sobs from escaping my mouth as I rolled over and let my tears hit the pillow. What had I just done? Not only lied to my best mate but broke his heart, and not to mention mine. 3 years he's fancied me, and I just now found out. That just goes to show you how clueless I am.

Now to find a girl. Alison would be easy to get back, she said that she only broke up with me because she figured I was gay and going after Harry. I had denied it totally and she kept saying that I was gay. So I left with tears streaming down my face right into Harry's arms. I think that was when I actually realized that he wasn't just my best mate anymore, he was something different, something that I couldn't live without. He was just so perfect and sensitive. And so good at hiding his emotions. I mean he always did flirt with me but I never took it as anything but banter. I always did love the bloke though, only up until a couple weeks ago did I see him differently. In ways that no one should see their best mate.
