Chapter 8.

I continue following Calvin, and we arrive at his home.

"Welcome to my home." Calvin said.

"Wow." I said looking around the huge place.

It's almost as big as my fathers palace.

"I brought you here to show you something." Calvin said.

"What is it?" I ask.

Calvin takes out a small box's and opens it.

I gasp at what I see, it's a necklace with a small pearl on it.

"This was my mother's." Calvin said holding up a small pearl necklaces.

"It's beautiful." I said.

"I want you to have it." Calvin said.

"What?" I asked shocked.

"I can't accept this." I said.

"Really. You can have it." Calvin said and put it around my neck.

"Wow." I said looking down at it. "It's so beautiful." I said.

"Thank you." I said.

We talk for a little bit more until it was starting to get dark out.

"I should really go home. My father will get worried where I am." I said.

"Have a safe swim home." Calvin said.

"Bye." I said and begin to swim away.

As I'm swimming how I notice less fish and other sea creatures are out.

Huh that's weird.

Where is everyone??

I begin to get an uneasy feeling.

I gasp realizing I'm in danger.

Suddenly a big sharp hook shoots through the water barley missing me.

I scream in fear and begins to swim as fast as I could.

More sharp hooks shoot down from the surface trying to catch me but they all barley miss me by a few inches.

A feel a sharp pain bit my tail, I scream in pain.

I look down and I see a spear is inside of my tail.

Shit.

I begin to swim to the surface and I hide behind a big rock.

I look and see the ship that was trying to catch me and a few men are yelling at each other.

"Fuck where did it go!?" A man yelled.

"You made it get away!!" Another man yelled.

"That mermaid could have made us millions!!" The third man argued.

They where trying to capture me!!

I take a deep breathe and I begin to move the ocean waves higher and higher. The wind starts to get stronger and windy.

"It looks like a storm is coming. We have to get out of here." The man on the boat said.

I make the water go higher and higher making the ship tip over. I hear screams from the crew on board.

"The boat is going down!!" The man yells.

I see some of them jump off the ship as the water sinks the ship. I watch the boat continue to sink until it goes under completely.

The boat sinks deeper and deeper into the ocean until I can't see it anymore.

I then see all of the men disappear under the water.

I make the waves go back to normal now and the sky is peaceful again with bright blue sky's.

I look back down at my tail to look at my injuries.

I carefully touch the spear and it moves slightly sending sharp pain all through my tail.

"Fuck!" I scream in pain.

I can't pull it out, it's too painful.

I can't swim home and no one knows I'm here.

I'm trapped.

I sit on this rock for hours until the sun went down and it's starting to get dark out.

I begin to get sleepy and I slowly drift off to sleep.
