Saturday morning...

The day of meeting the "future husband", can't believe that I agree to do this.

We are currently heading out to meet the so mysterious guy that I'll be possibly married. By we I mean me and my mom.

"Do you know him?" I asked my mom trying to get rid of the silence

"Yes of course. He's a nice guy, I think you'll like him"

"If you say so"

"I know that you didn't want to do this, but please just try and see what happens. Who knows if you guys end up liking each other"

"Fine, I'll try but I won't make any promises"

At The Meeting

'We have arrived!" My mom said

How can she look this happy? It's nice to see her like this. Finally we can get this over with.

'We are currently walking inside the restaurant. I have to say it's a nice one, you know like one of those you see in the movies when they have family meeting and at the end there's always that one person that gets mad and walks away... Yeah one of those

"Hello Ms. Vang and Y/N. Come have a seat"

"My son is a bit late but he should be here any second now" said David

Doesn't this look like one of those cliche movies... I get the feels too

"It's okay don't worry. We all have busy lives"

Right in time the guy shows up. Just like in the movies

"Sorry for being late everyone. I got stuck on traffic"

Honestly I gotta admit he is kinda cute, brown eyes, hair styled to the back, suit like he just got off work, messed up tie from running... Oops staring for to long

"This is my son Angel" David said

"Hello nice to see you Ms. Vang and nice to meet you..?"

"Y/N"

"Right, nice to meet you"

"Same here"

After Dinner

"Ms Vang why don't we go to a 'private' place to talk" said David

"Yes of course. Call me if you need me sweetie"

"They really think that we didn't noticed the sarcasm in there?" Angel said

"Apparently they think we don't" I said laughing

"So do you know the reason for out meeting right?

"Of course. Listen I'm gonna be straightforward with you. I don't really want to get married now. I already had plans for when I graduate from high school and marriage wasn't one of them. I did agree to meet you"

"I mean I wasn't really thinking of that either but honestly my dad is really happy about you. He thinks that we would be good for each other. What do you think just being friends for now and get to know more about each other or you could just say no and forget about this"

"I-Listen my mom is really happy it's been a while since I saw here smile like how she did today. I'll try first being friends and then we'll see. Deal?"
