A few years after the Battle of Endor, Luke Skywalker came across a former Royal Guard. The man was bitter, angry and lost without much purpose after the initial fall of the Empire, reminding Luke of the woman Mara Jade, of whom he had been trying to help for years now. Having a never ending supply of compassion it seems, Luke offered the Royal Guard friendship and a home. Within a few years, the now non-Force sensitive human was a Jedi guard in Luke's praxuem, and like a brother to the Jedi Master. They tease, they laugh, and they go through the hardships of life together.
His name was Erstin Deez.
