"TWO DETECTIVES WANT to speak to you. I told them you needed to rest but I know it's urgent. Just–I'll tell them to be quick so you can get some sleep, okay sweetie?" Janet exclaimed as she caressed Ariel's palm. She nodded her head in understanding as her eyes flickered around the hospital room. "When can I see Adele?" Ariel inquired curiously.

Janet frowned, "They won't let you have visitors until you've gotten interrogated. The only reason why I'm allowed to speak to you is because I'm a doctor who works here. As your mother I'm not allowed in here, as a doctor I have some rights." Ariel slipped her hand into her mother's palm and nodded her head once again, "l-let them in mom. I just want to get this over with." Janet hesitated at first but after a few seconds of contemplation, she nodded her head and began to saunter out of the room.

"I'm glad you're safe honey, don't worry. We'll find Parker and Evelyn and they'll pay for what they did to you." Before Ariel could respond, her mother exited the room and a few seconds later two officers followed. Each had clipboards and tape recorders in hand. Their badges were clearly evident on their hips and Ariel knew this wasn't just ordinary town cops....this was the FBI. "Good morning, Ariel. This is detective Harrison and I'm detective Parish. We're aware that you are in no shape to be interrogated right now but we simply cannot wait any longer until we know what happened."

They both sat down on the chair beside Ariel's bed, "we're just going to ask you a few questions and when you're discharged you can come down to the precinct to make an official report, is that okay?" Detective Harrison questioned. Ariel nodded her head stiffly. They both whipped out their clipboards and pens then Detective Parish turned on the recorder. "A few hours ago at approximately 8:20 pm, we received a 911 distress call from Larson Styles.

He claimed to have been at the residence of police chief Ashton Lynn and his son Parker Lynn. On the phone call, Larson claimed that you, Ariel had visited Parker in order to get a confession out of him for the murders of Maria Jensen and Kayla Mammoliti. He stated that the house appeared to have been broken into since he found the front door left open and the living room and Parker's room trashed. But he also said Parker's car was gone.

Now you can see why this matter is urgent. If this is connected to the double homicide from months ago then this interrogation cannot wait. We have officer personnel and crime scene investigators down at the Lynn's residence but we haven't determined exactly what occurred in that house. Which is why you will tell us exactly what happened last night, miss Campbell. That is if you can recall."

Ariel nodded her head frantically as a tear trickled down her cheek. "I–I remember everything." Officer Parish nodded his head, "okay then start from the very beginning. We want to hear from you why and how you ended up at the Lynn's residence last night and what happened there and in the following hours." Ariel flickered her eyes down at her fumbling hands. She swallowed hard, "f-from the beginning, I knew that Tobias did not kill Maria and Kayla. I-It didn't make sense that h-he was the only suspect and the only person arrested when they were at a party with so m-many people.

I thought that it didn't add up a-and the police were doing nothing. T-they just arrested Tobias with evidence that made no sense. So a few d-days ago I visited Tobias and he told me that the night of Maria and Kayla's murder, P-Parker was the last person to have been seen with them. I-I found out that was true because someone else confirmed it. If you interviewed any other students who were there, they would say the same."
