Reys hair and makeup 💓
Her hands hold the box and it surprisingly felt heavy. Wondering what the hell could be in there that made it weigh a ton. She grabbed her pocket knife and sliced open the box.
She instantly saw a blue material. It almost felt like satin yet it was thicker. She pulled the dress out of the box and marvelled at it. It was beautiful.
The dress was an electric blue colour. Back on Jakku she never had the money to dress like this. No one did. It was her first time feeling like this. Like a princess. She slipped the dress on and looked at herself in the mirror.
The spaghetti straps of the dress led down to 2 strips of material that created a V like shape over her breasts leaving her chest exposed. The material then created a waistband and at the end of that, a beautiful skirt made of the same blue flowed elegantly down to her ankles.
She grabbed the shoes that lay in the box and strapped the black high heels on. She took her hair out and combed the front to one side pinning it behind her ear as the rest stayed out. She put dark lipstick and mascara on knowing that the look didn't need to much.
With 30 minutes left till the party she stared at herself in the mirror. She looked completely different. She looked good. She had never had any good experiences with high heels so she practised walking around in them. After she walked for about 5 minutes she heard the buzzing noise.
He looked up at her and couldn't help but stare. She looked gorgeous. He knew he was looking for longer then he should but he couldn't stop.
"what's all this about" he asked still not taking his eyes away from her body.
"the resistance is having a party" she says softly.
"how do I look" she say her eyes gazing at the ground.
He stopped suddenly. She really didn't realise how beautiful she looked.
"you... Look amazing" he said it fast but she heard him. She blushed and walked back over to the mirror. She grabbed a pair of dangling diamond earrings and put them in. Lastly she placed a necklace that consisted of a diamond pendant with sapphire sitting delicately in the middle.
She turned back around to see him studying her. "Well... I need to go" she said quietly not wanting his face to leave her. He looked disappointed for a second and then composed himself.
"you look beautiful rey" he said before the force connection broke. She smiled at her hands and she couldn't stop. Grabbing her purse she walked towards the door. ~ ~ ~ She arrived at the main hall and saw about 50 other people inside. Nervously she gazed inside trying to find Finn and Thomas. Before this happened she noticed Poe. He was wearing a tux and a bow tie and he was greeting guests. He starred at her but didn't smile. She could feel him wanting to come over and talk to her but he didn't.
Not too long after that, Finn and Thomas arrived. Finn was wearing a grey suit and tie while Thomas was wearing trousers and a button up shirt. They both looked amazing. Finns eyes gazed at Rey's appearance but Rey was focused on Thomas. He looked so small and she couldnt help but smile at him.
Thomas ran up and hugged Rey as she bent down to greet him.
"well don't you look handsome" she said fixing his collar up.
He smiled at her and held her hand as they walked in. It was crowded but luckily there were tables and chairs stacked up the back. Everyone took a seat while Poe was introduced.
Poe gave a great speech about the future of the resistance and about team work. Everyone seemed to love him. After dinner was served everyone started to clear the floor of tables and chairs. Soon everyone was getting up to dance.
They all danced for what seemed like hours and Rey's feet were starting to become really saw. She grabbed a chair and sat up the back. After 30 minutes of watching Finn dance with Thomas and Rose she realised that Thomas was walking over to her.
"what's the matter?" she asked stroking his hair.
"I'm really tired" he said through a yawn. She looked up at the clock and realised it was way too late for him to be up. He climbed up into her lap, hugging her as his head lay in the nook of her neck. She held him close and cradled him in her arms.
She felt at peace. He was her Rey of light. Even if he wasnt fully hers, she would take care of him for however long he needed.
Standing up she was careful not to make any sudden movements. It was hard to walk with a child in her hands and high heels on her feet but she managed.
Making it back to her room she sat down on the couch with Thomas still in her arms. He snuggled in deeper to her chest as she held him there. His breathing became even and she matched her breathing to his, listening to his heartbeat. Thump, thump thump. And then an odd buzzing.
He was there standing in the corner of the room. He could see her holding a child but the child was asleep in her arms. She looked totally at peace with his head against her chest. He couldn't help but smile at them. She met his eyes and carefully sat up. Not wanting to wake the boy she tip toes to her room. She placed Thomas on the bed and tucked him in. She knew he would sleep right through the night. She walked back out to meet Kylo.
"who was that" he whispered not knowing how close the sleeping child was.
"I train him. His name is Thomas and he doesn't have any parents so I am looking after him" she said whispering back to him.
He looks surprised. He chuckles and she realises what he was thinking.
"hey, I haven't killed him so I think I'm doing a great job" she said getting defensive
"well the cast on his arm says otherwise" he chuckles and looks back at her.
She scowls at him and turns to leave.
"where are you going?" he says trying to follow her.
"I'm going back to the party" she said. And with that they disconnected.
When she found the party again she realised most people where gone but still she walked in. She was gonna help pack up when she felt a tap on her shoulder.
"Poe would like to speak to you. In his room" Finn says holding back a yawn. She turns on her heels and walks out of the hall.

I have like 5 chapters that I have already written, ready to post but I'm not getting the motivation to write more. Like I pretty much have the whole storyline but I'm just not bothered?
