[Hilbert's POV]
I entered the hospital and rushed to the counter, I asked for Ash's name and was told to go to room 215. I quickly made my way to the room and I could hear voices from the inside, that means someone was talking. I knocked on the door and got an answer, getting the permission to get in, I turned the door knob and entered the room.
There I saw Ash on the bed with bandages around his waist and upper body. Serena was sitting on a chair near the bed. I let out a sigh of relief seeing Ash was fine. I slowly walked up to the side of the bed and sat down at the chair. I just stared at him as he lowered his head. He needs to be more careful. Serena stayed quiet and observed us.
"Sorry…" he whispered softly. I sighed, "Do you have any idea how worried I was when Serena called me?" I asked in a concerned yet mad tone. He just looked at me apologetically. "You need to be careful Ash. You can't go and rush in things that are far too dangerous. Or if not that, at least do not get yourself hurt so bad!" I yelled. "I'm sorry… but it all happened so suddenly.." at this point it was like an elder brother yelling at their younger brother. "It's okay.. this was necessary to be done, as it would have hurt Serena. Though, how are you?" I said before turning to Serena. "I'm perfectly fine, Ash pushed me away just in time." She replied, looking at Ash. "That's a relief. Thank goodness, everything is fine now." I said with a relieved tone.
"I am not allowed to move out of bed for three days." Ash spoke out of the blue, though it was expected. I gave him a deadpan expression. "What else do you expect with a glass piercing your stomach?" I asked with annoyance. He sweatdropped, "An instant recovery?" He replied. My deadpan expression died even more. He laughed in a sheepish way. I just shook my head.
The door opened and the doctor came in, Serena and I stood up, he walked up to the other side of the bed. "We did manage to get the glass out without damaging his internal organs, but there had been a lot of blood loss so he will be a bit exhausted for a few weeks. Refrain from doing heavy exercise and workouts." He told us. I looked over to Ash who had a devastated look on his face. "You mean I can't do training with my Pokemon?" He asked with shock. The doctor nodded, "how long??" He asked with more dramatic shock. "Hmm at least 3 weeks.." the doctor replied, at this Ash faked a heart attack. "You can't be serious, I gotta train my Pokemon for the tournament!" He cried, at his word I felt to yell out. "Ash your Pokemon are far better than anyone I know as a great trainer, it won't do any harm if you don't train them for a few days. Plus I can train them until you recover." I spoke, he snapped his head to me.
"Definitely not, you are not gonna train my pokemon, you teach bad." Well that hurt, I felt to internally cry. "I have some moves up my mind. I wanna teach them and it will be difficult to master them in less time, especially Pikachu. I have a lot of work to do on him." He replied. I moved my head in an 'i see' manner.
I then noticed Serena was very quiet all the long. Of course their little date was ruined. Ash also wanted to show her something, I wonder what it was. I decided I should let them have some time alone. The doctor walked out after telling Ash the meds he'll be needing and the routine he must follow until full recovery. "I should get going, I left my training in the middle when I heard about you." I lied, though it was caught. "You don't train at this time, it's your 'imma ditch everything and watch tv' time." Ash said with a questioning look. I gave him an annoyed deadpan expression. I then eyed towards Serena, he took the hint and made a small 'oh'.
"Well then, I should leave, I'll buy groceries on my way. You take care." I said as I moved towards the door. "I should go too, you should rest now Ash. I'll visi-" Serena started but was cut off by Ash. "No, please stay a while." Ash said with a puppy face, and it was supposed to be for Serena but I seemed to be melting to it. I shook my brain mentally before turning away, a smirk on my face that Serena wasn't as sad as before. I walked out and through the halls.
On the way home, I bought the groceries for dinner. Ash was going to be discharged tomorrow morning so I decided to make something for him, tonight can be simple. When I turned back from the counter at the store I saw pikachu behind me. I smiled before kneeling down. "Hey, where were you? I didn't see you at the hospital." I said, Pikachu acted out some actions that looked like… he was in the Pokemon centre. "So you are returning from the Pokemon centre?" He nodded, "on your own?" He nodded again. I raised my eyebrows, "ooookaaayyyyy…" I lengthened my word as I stood back up. Pikachu climbed up my shoulder, it felt kind of awkward and heavy, I wonder how Ash manages it.
We walked home talking, well mostly me telling him about ash and how he won't be able to train these guys. Pikachu was licking a ketchup bottle which I had to buy as he wouldn't leave it no matter how hard I tried. Why does he love ketchup so much? Maybe because his trainer's name is Ketchum? Okay, this doesn't sound nice. I kept silent for the rest of the while listening to the constant slurpy sound in my right ear. Not even halfway to home, Pikachu had finished his bottle and was now just sitting on my shoulder watching the surroundings. I wonder what was going in his head.
"Hey pikachu" his ears perked up at the mention of his name, he looked at me. "If I tell you to do something, will you listen to me?" I asked, "pika.." I guess… that translates to 'depends..' "what do you mean?" I asked. Pikachu hopped from my shoulder to the ground and walked in front of me, "pika pi pika pika pika." I seriously didn't get a single meaning from it. "Pikachu pika Pikachu.." dead nothing. "Pikac-" "I think I don't need to know…" I cut him off, he looked at me with an angry expression. I sweatdropped at my own stupidity. "Sorry for asking you, when I can't understand you." I laughed out sheepishly.
"Hilbert is that you?" I heard a voice and turned my head to the direction of the sound. A whisper escaped my mouth.
"Hilda?"
