3rd Person POV

"Mr. Williams, am I good to go or not?" Sadie asks, leaning back on her bed

"Well, if you stopped squirming around so much I'd be done quicker." Mr Williams tells her

"You're gonna make me late to class." Sadie says, sitting up

Mr Williams puts the metal-detector like machine in his opposite hand and checks his watch

"I'm your first class." Mr Williams says. "Doesn't start for 20 minutes."

He grabs the machine again and holds it above her forehead

SADIE: Mr Williams and Dr Saltzman had worked together to craft this machine together in order to test for black magic in my system. The process is boring cause he waves this wand thing over my head for like 20-30 minutes. Normally if I'm in the transitional cellars, I need to be scanned for black magic -- which doesn't happen often -- or talk with Emma through a few anger problems that caused me to lash out and be put in there

Sadie sits up

"Can you please stop moving?" Mr Williams groans

"Sorry." Sadie says, holding up her chained hands. "I've been chained here all night. I'm itching to move."

"I'm almost done." Mr Williams says

Sadie rolls her eyes, crossing her arms and leaning back. The chains rub against her wrist and she winces -- slight pain rubs her reddened wrists.

Mr Williams sighs, putting the machine down on the bedside table. He grabs the chair from the corner and drags it over, sitting in front of Sadie

Sadie watches him, still with her arms crossed

She gives him a look, raising her eyebrows in question

"You're clear." Mr Williams says

"Yes!" Sadie exclaims.

She pushes her chained wrists towards him

Mr Williams pushes her hands down

"What?" She asks, a little hurt

"I said you're clear." Mr Williams says

"I know." Sadie says. "I heard you. Now take the chains off."

"I will." Mr Williams says. "But later, you need to go talk to Emma."

"Why?" Sadie asks

"Because you need to talk through why you of all people would use black magic." Mr Williams snaps

Sadie looks down

Mr Williams sighs
