golden rays

your pov :

the sun poured in through the window leaving golden rays shining on the white sheets of the bed me and my current boyfriend, joji, shared

my eyes squinted, still adjusting to the brightness that filled the room

joji's hand on my waist, we laid with my back against his chest. i felt secure, i felt protected with him

i turned to face him slowly, knowing he'd still be asleep based on the fact that he didn't get to bed until much later than i did

i looked at his sleepy face in admiration, he was cute always but especially cute when he was sleeping

it was moments like these that i never wanted to end

i watched as his eyes fluttered open, of course, adjusting to the light in the room. he smiled at me, "stare much?" he mumbled in a sarcastic tone and i giggled

he tightened his grip on my waist, pulling me closer to him and giving me a kiss on the forehead. he pulled the blankets around us both

"joj, we gotta get up soon", i whispered to him, giving him a kiss on the cheek

"yeah but it's so comfy here" he replied, followed by a yawn

"i'll make you pancakes" i said, hoping it would give him some sort of motivation to get up

he smiled back at me, putting his hand on my cheek, "fine". i smiled back at him and got out of bed, grabbing a hoodie from the foot of the bed and pulling it over me

i continued to the kitchen to prepare breakfast while joji turned on his playlist and got in the shower

i smiled to myself, and opened the curtains of the kitchen windows, letting the golden rays shine through into the mostly white kitchen

my life had never felt more put together than it did now, and i was eternally grateful

~ hi this one was kinda sorta very random?? but i thought it was cute so idk enjoy i guess :,) and i'll work on making these longer as more people view them <3
