pools of love

your pov:

it was about 9pm and joji still wasn't home from work

i get it, he gets busy, but he's normally home by at least 7

but i sat on the patio next to the infinity pool of our brooklyn apartment, staring at the landscape of the city

a glass of wine in my hand, and my black bikini hugged my curves just right

i heard the front door opening inside, knowing it was joji i didn't bother to get up

i was upset, and he needed to know that.

the sliding glass door opened, and i heard him step onto the patio and he sat in the lounge chair beside me, "im sorry, baby" he spoke softly, reaching for my hand, but i pulled away

"let me make it up to you." he sighed

"i had to eat dinner by myself." i turned to him, folding my arms

"i'll take you out to breakfast tomorrow" he looked into my eyes, and it felt sincere

i nodded, looking back down when i felt him lift me out of the chair

"no no no no!" i screamed, kicking my legs back and forth, before he threw me into the pool

the cold water shocking my body, but i made my way to the surface

"you are the worst!" i laughed, coughing up water

he laughed in return, pulling off his shirt. "i know!" he yelled before jumping in beside me

he picked me up, and set my on the edge of the pool, he stood between my legs, pulling hair out of my face, and wiping the smeared mascara

he placed a kiss on my cheek, and pulled himself out of the pool, wrapping me into a warm towel

we made our way back into the apartment and into our room where i pulled off my bathing suit, changing into one of joji's large hoodies

he changed into some clean shorts, and laid beside me, pulling me closer to him

"so breakfast tomorrow?" he asked, rubbing my leg

i shook my head, "let's just stay here" i said softly, playing with his hair in my hands
