The Sun looks at his lover in his arms. He swears his heart is being ripped out from his chest. Why him? What did he ever do for this punishment? The Sun rocks back forth not even fighting the sob creeping up his throat. The Sun's sobs wail all throughout the palace.

He looks down at the Moon's face, his lover's complexion a nice dark olive. He kisses the Moon's lips one last time. That stupid God killed him and now the Moon's gone. The Sun looks up in time to see his brother walk up to him and take his lover from his arms. The Sun can't stop the scream that rips from his throat, he doesn't want the warmth of his love to fade.

He lays down on the ground, his heart-breaking screams filling the mourning palace walls. He won't heal, how could anyone heal? The cold, shivering emptiness begins to overtake the Sun's old warm self and he knows; nothing will ever be the same again.
