Three months later
Aliah had swept the shop as ty sat spinning around in one of her chairs he was being more careful now he didn't let her close by herself
He'd sit with her until she was ready to lock up he had to be more careful they had just announced their engagement to all social media a week ago
Now everybody knew that she was soon to be with his wife they planned on getting married next October
" so I was thinking we could start looking for venues tomorrow for the wedding you know start planning early I want everything to be right " ty said as he watched her rinse the sinks
" I don't want it to be too big because you know we don't have as much family but I want it to be nice though " Aliah expressed
" yeah imma let you meet my folks some time this week " ty said as he stood up grabbing his keys waiting for Aliah to turn of the lights & lock up so they could leave
He picked her up & dropped her off
Getting into the car ty waited for Aliah to put on his seatbelt as he put his on starting the car heading towards the streets
" you hungry " ty asked as he looked over at Aliah
" yeah but I want something home cooked can we stop by Walmart " she asked not bothering to look up she was reading an article about monkey pox
Ty made a U turn making his way towards Walmart he hated a silent car he was going to wait until they got to the light to hook his phone up & play some music
Pulling up to the light ty hooked up his phone playing " all because of you " by Kodak
They sat in a comfortable silence as the music played Aliah was scrolling on Twitter it had been a while since she been on there she had missed a lot of stuff
She was now looking at jayda arguing with a pornstar
Aliahs jaw dropped as she read some of the responses she felt bad for jayda he was always embarrassing her
Pulling up to Walmart ty looked for a parking spot before he pulled in turning off the car taking off his seatbelt getting out he waited for Aliah to get out
Making their way into Walmart they looked around
"What you plan on cooking "
" idk Maybe some fried chicken , mashed potatoes & corn " she said as she thought about it
Aliah loved potatoes
" that sound good " ty said as they made their way towards the frozen meats grabbing a container of drum legs which came with 4 in a pack
" imma go grab 2 cans of corn while you get the mashed potatoes " ty said walking away from Aliah
As he was looking at the vegetables he was approached by a girl
" I'm sorry I just had to let you know that I think you're a very good looking guy " the girl said as she stood in front of ty holding a can of chicken noddle soup
Ty looked at her she wasn't ugly she was skinny lightskin & tall she stood at about 5'8 still shorter than him but she was tall for a woman she had faux locs that stopped at her knee
" appreciate you " he said as he turned around to walk away to find the corn
" Um can I have your number " she asked causing him to turn around again
