I sat crisscrossed on the leather sofa as I listen to the playback of the song I had just recorded with my producer Archie.

We sat silently bopping our heads to the music before he paused it. "I think we got another hit on our hands," he said, as he started typing something on the computer.

"Hmm, Ion know. I feel like it's missing something."

"A feature you should get someone on it asap," he said, as he turned back towards me.

"Maybe" I shrugged my shoulders.

I stood up, fixing my pants to my matching tracksuit. I began to grab my belongings that were laying around the room. the session was pretty much over and I was tired and ready to go.

We had been sitting here for the last hour, going over songs and discussing the sound I wanted for the project.

Archie was not only my producer he was a good friend of mine who I met when I first started taking music seriously. He produced my first ever EP, which included 'Girls need love'.

I just knew I needed him on this project with me as well. I honestly wouldn't be here without him. Labels didn't even look in my direction until girls need love dropped and then when we got Drake on it that's when we knew we were making noise.

"I did a session with Hunxho yesterday," He said.

I stopped what I was doing to look at him with a stale expression. "Okay?"

"He had asked about you and wanted to know if you were straight since you ain't talked in a while" He shrugged his shoulders.

I rolled my eyes, resuming what I was occupied with before. " I have nothing to say to him the last time I checked, I was burnt out" referring to the most recent text he sent me a few weeks ago.

My relationship with Amir was so strange. I haven't talked to him in over two months now, but even so, it was only for sex. Only because I wasn't ready to give my body to another man but I had to learn that no one deserved me or my temple, so I'd been celibate since then.

But I finally came to terms that if I was going to let him go, I have to let all of him go. Especially after all, he had put me through in the last ten months you think I would have done it sooner, but love can make you go blind.

"Aye man, don't shoot the messenger"

"Mhmm, well next time you see him tell him don't worry about me. I'm good over here" I placed my black medium sized telfar bag over my shoulder walking towards the door.

"Gotchu. Be safe we'll talk" He held his fist out before I connected mines for us to fist bump for a brief moment.

"You too Archie!" Was the last thing I said before walking out into the quiet hallway.

I made my way down the hallway to the elevator. As the doors opened I got in pressing the button to the garage level. Once I got to my designated level I got off the elevator walking towards my burnt orange Mercedes G-Wagon.

I opened the door getting in before pushing my foot on the break to start the car. I sat in the car for a minute while I scrolled through Instagram. There was a post that caught my eye I quickly reposted it on my story. I put my phone down and pressed shuffle on my playlist.

I began reversing out of the parking spot 'Fire & Desire' began to fill the car as I made my way out onto Main Street.

I made my way onto I-85 where traffic was already backed up. I let out a heavy sigh resting my head on my hand.
