TODAY WAS THE DAY of Bella Swan and Edward Cullen's wedding. Five weeks flew by quicker than usual and all the planning for the big day was set. Gracie's heart ached the same amount of pain she felt when she had lost her parents and her own brother. The only thing which kept her going was Seth's humour and jokes making he laugh and forget everything, Leah constantly reminding her that Embry wasn't gone - that he was coming back and Alice's arrangements for her soon-to-be Sister-in-Law.

There stood Gracie in front of a full length luxurious mirror that stood in Esme's bedroom. She looked exactly how she knew her mother looked like her her teenage photographs. Alice had made the theme of Bella's wedding silver and purple to which she fitted Gracie in a long, strapless chiffon dress in the colour of lilac. The colour of the dress seemed to make Gracie's pale skin look slightly darker, or maybe it was just the fantastic expensive lighting in the Cullen's home. The dress definitely did not look cheap as the bodice itself had hand-crafted jewels added with a flowing train, not as long as Bella's wedding dress though.

Rosalie put aside her hatred for the wolves and allowed to acknowledge Gracie as a normal human to which she did the girl's hair. She curled a lot of strands and created a half-up yet half-down look, adding a couple diamond clips for a final finish whilst Alice did the girl's makeup, extraordinarily. Gracie could only imagine that over the many centuries they lived they'd perfected every single skill in the world, because right now both Cullen girls had made Gracie look awesome. Gracie wore her heels a million times better than Bella had that morning, especially having a lot more experience in them than she did. For example, Bella had even attended her formal wearing flats with her dress - Gracie couldn't believe it and she could only imagine Alice's reaction.

Gracie met Bella down in the side room where Charlie stood in his suit. Gracie gave her best friend a quick hug before exiting the room behind Rosalie and Alice, the other two bridesmaid's for Bella. In their hands they held a bouquet of lilac and white roses, carefully put together by Esme. Gracie looked around whilst walking down the isle. She spotted Seth round the back with his mother, then further down Mike, Jessica, Angela and Eric. She also spotted Bella's mother, Renee, with her partner - Phil. Beside them was Billy Black in his wheelchair - but no Jacob. Gracie sat beside Rosalie and Alice, watching in awe as Bella and Charlie appeared, walking in sync down the aisle whilst the piano was played beautifully.

Bella's eyes were fixed on Edward, as his were on her. Together they met at the alter, stepping up toward the preacher. They exchanged the words, then fell into a deep kiss with one another. Everybody cheered whilst rose petals fell down from above, over the happy couple.

The reception was at the same place, the beauty of the Cullen's backyard. Whenever a slow dance came on Seth offered to dance with Gracie but they often noticed the two of them being watched by a couple blonde vampires from a distance. Seth looked uneasy whenever he looked at them.

"Gracie. Seth. Come with Bella and I" Edward smiled at the pair whilst leading them all behind the Cullen's house.

Jacob appeared from the tree-line. "The best man didn't have time to get a tux."

"Jacob!" Bella exclaimed, as did Gracie narrowing towards him.

Bella jumped into the boy's arms to hug arm, Gracie smiling ear to ear behind them. She was happy to see Jacob again, but mainly was happy about the thought of seeing Embry again soon.

Gracie, Seth and Edward nodded, walking alway to let the pair talk. Between Edward and Seth, Gracie got to do a couple slow dances on the back porch halfway between the wedding reception and Jacob with Bella. Jacob and Bella had been talking for a good while and as Gracie spun under Seth's arm she noticed Edward's head perk in the direction of the two.

"What is it, Edward?" Gracie asked him.

Edward looked to the girl, "Jacob's getting angry, I can hear his thoughts."

The three of them wandered slowly towards Jacob and Bella until the boy grabbed a hold of Bella's arms.

"Jake, let me go!" Bella scolded at Jacob, Edward speeding straight to her side whilst Seth held Gracie's hand for balance.

Gracie's heels were not the best on the dirty and grassy terrain of the forest, she was constantly scared of hurting herself.

"Jacob, calm down, all right?" Edward spoke calmly to Jacob, his hands on Bella's shoulders.

Jacob let go, "Are you out of your mind? Huh? You'll kill her!"

Gracie stepped in front of Jacob, her hands on his chest pushing him away gently. Jacob, in his anger, went to push Gracie - hard - but Seth pulled Jacob back in time. Jacob managed to knock Seth back onto the ground. Gracie was truly scared at this point, she was still in between Jacob and Edward holding onto Bella. She was also scared that he'd phase right in front of her, possibly standing too close. Jacob went to lunge forward, practically shaking...

"Walk away, Jake." Sam called, putting his hand firmly on the boy's shoulders whilst the other werewolves came out to break up the commotion. Embry's hand pulled Gracie back a little. "Enough, Jacob!"

Gracie turned to Embry, he looked different. She hadn't seen him for five weeks and he looked almost like a whole new person. His hair was longer and he looked unhappy. His eyes met hers and he paused, then smiled a little given the situation.

"Stay out of this, Sam." Jacob nudged him away.

Sam stood firm, as the alpha. "You're not gonna start something that we'll have to finish."

"She'll die." Jacob continued to persuade him.

"She's not our concern anymore." Sam announced, alerting the wolves to retreat. Jared, Paul and Quil left first. Embry gave a sad look to Gracie before letting go of her and disappearing towards the woods too. "Let's go, Seth!"

"I'm really, really, really stupid." Bella spoke to Edward, sounding completely heart broken.

Edward rubbed his hand over her arms. "No, it's all right. Come on, people are probably missing us. Let's go back, you too Gracie."

Gracie snapped out of her thoughts. She hadn't seen Embry for weeks and just like that he disappeared again. Just like a leaf in the breeze, he was gone.
