2 Weeks Later
I laid down on my bed and read a short novel. My eyelids grew heavier as I felt I was going to drift off to sleep.
"Alex!" My mother called, jerking me awake.
"Coming" I yelled.
I walked down the stairs and passed by my mother's room. Something which caught my attention. My mom was sprawled on the floor looking rather pale.
"Alexis. Don't go. I heard it too" she whimpered.
