"Fucking hell.." Taeyong cursed to himself as he walked out of the elevator. It had only been a few hours since his talk with Taeil and he could honestly admit that it had been the worst couple of hours of his life.

So here he was. At the company building, heading to an empty practice room to try and clear his head and just not... Think? Not think about anything at all.

It was impossible to even go on with his day when she was lurking around in his brain and he didn't know if thinking solely about her was a good or bad thing. As of now he thought of it as catastrophic.

He rounded a corner and looked through the small, round window on the first door to the left. "Yes," he sighed out of relief, seeing the room was empty.

He turned the doorknob and stepped into the room, feeling a sudden drop in the temperature. While rubbing his arms to get warm, he went to get the remote to the air conditioner. His eyebrows furrowed as it read 26°C. Someone must've just left the room if so, because he knew the room was a lot colder than 26 degrees.

The small jean jacket he then spotted laying on the speaker in the corner of the room confirmed his suspicion. He didn't think too much about it and went to plug his phone to the speaker.

As he sat down to scroll through his playlist and decide which song to play, he heard the doorknob turn and looked up, almost feeling his heart drop.

"Great," he thought. "Just great."

Seulgi stopped in her tracks as she spotted him in the corner of the room, and she probably had the same thought as Taeyong.

"H-hi," she greeted.

"Hey."

"Am I disturbing or anything?"

"No, not at all. I just got here."

"Oh."

"Did you want to use the room?"

"No, no. I'm already done with practice, but I forgot my jacket in here so..."

"Oh," Taeyong raised his eyebrows in realization and stood up on his feet. "This one?" he said and picked up the jean jacket beside him.

"Yes!" she smiled and walked towards him.

"Here you go," he said quietly and handed it to her, but just as she grabbed it to herself, something fell off one of the pockets and landed on the floor, right beside his shoes.

He looked down, seeing the orange lighter. Without saying or pointing anything out, he knelt down to pick it up and handed it back to her.

"Thank you," she smiled and put the lighter back into her pocket.

But in the end he couldn't keep it to himself. "You still smoke?"

He thought the question would catch her off guard, but she only smiled and shook her head calmly. "No I quit, but I still carry a lighter out of habit," she explained and he nodded his head understandingly.

"So, how come you're here today?" she then asked him and Taeyong swore he could die right there, right now.

Did she have to stay and talk to him? He came here to get her out of his head but somehow she always managed to come back one way or another.

"Was this how she felt when she ignored me?" he thought to himself, almost understanding and sympathizing with her past self.

"I was bored so I decided to come here," he lied.

"I see."

Was he being extra awkward or was she being extra awkward?

"Well," she then spoke with a high tone. "The girls are waiting for me and I don't want to disturb you anymore, so I'll get going."

He nodded. "Sure, bye," he said. However, while he wished she wouldn't stay, he wished that she wouldn't leave either.

Her lips formed a thin line. "Bye, Taeyong," she said.

He watched her retreating figure and right as the door closed and she was out of his sight he instantly groaned and hid his face in his hands. "What the hell was that?" he muttered to himself.

Taeyong collapsed between Taeil and Dongyoung on the sofa, regretting it immediately as they both didn't know how to shut their mouths and let him rest.

"Where were you?"

"You stink."

"Were you with Chungha?"

"Go and take a shower."

"Did you talk to Seulgi?"

"Did you run a marathon?- Wait," Dongyoung frowned as he turned to Taeil. "Why would he talk to Seulgi? Aren't they ignoring each other?"

"Can you two just shut up?" Taeyong begged, his voice sounding muffled since he covered his face in a cushion.

"Can you go and take a shower?" Dongyoung asked with a disgusted expression as he removed the cushion from his face. "Your hair is all wet and I guess it's from the sweat since you stink."

"Would you please let me live?" Taeyong hissed softly at him.

Silence filled the air for a small minute before Dongyoung decided to speak up. "Why would you talk to Seulgi? Did you two finally make up?"

"I went to the building and practiced our choreographies," Taeyong explained briefly. "And I already made up with Seulgi the other day."

"Really?" Dongyoung raised his eyebrow. "So you're finally on good terms?"

Taeyong nodded. "We are."

"But he wished they were on even better terms though."

Both Taeyong and Dongyoung whipped their heads toward Taeil who had a smug smile on his face. While Taeyong shot him a death glare, Dongyoung had a very, very confused expression.

"What?" was the only word he could utter.

"Nothing," Taeil breathed out after a few seconds. Taeyong's death glares were one of the scariest he'd ever seen and getting on his bad side was not what he wanted. Besides, he had to respect Taeyong and if he wanted to tell Dongyoung about Seulgi, he would do it himself. "It's just fun to tease him about it."

"Yeah, well save that for later," Dongyoung addressed and patted Taeyong's back, scrunching his face in disgust as he felt how wet his shirt was. "For the third time, go and take a shower otherwise you're going to get back acne and clogged pores all over your face and body."
