"What are you doing on FaceTime, you idiot?" Val asked as soon as she accepted his call. It was midday in England, meaning it was around 5am for him in America. Their entire group had no doubt been up all night celebrating JJ's monumental victory, so she had been incredibly caught off guard when her phone started going off and she leaned over to see Harry's name on the screen.
"Vaaaaaaal!" he exclaimed, not paying her words any mind. He dragged her name out, her view of him shaking. "Incredible news! JJ won!" He lifted his fist in the air.
She chuckled, shaking her head. "Harry, I was watching as well. I already know."
"Shit," he muttered. "I forgot about that. Been a long night." He yawned, jaw practically unhinging. "Feeling a bit tired. How are you? How's England?"
"England is exactly as you left it a few days ago," she replied. "Why aren't you in bed? It must be insanely early over there."
He hummed, screen tilting dangerously sideways before righting itself. "What do you mean? I'm wide awake!" Another yawn escaped him, and he gave a vigorous shake of his head, knocking his fist against his skull. If life were a video and she was its editor, she would have edited an empty rattling sound over the motion. "Very, very awake."
