Chapter 39 The delimma

They exit the hospital with Vivian's phone ringing in her pocket.

She takes it out, to see Elijah's number flashings.
It's been days since she last met him.

Looking at Ethan,who seemed busy on his own business talk. She picks it up.

"Hey"

"Don't hey me Viv! It's been almost a week. And you didn't even once called me!"

"Ehh I am sorry Eli. I..I have just been busy."

"I don't know. I am coming to pick you up today. I want to talk to you regarding something important.Be ready."

"No wait Eli listen...I.. I am no longer in our old house."

"We have shifted to Lockwood Estate."

There is silence on the other side, when he exclaims suddenly.

"What! But why! And why am I getting to know about this now?"

"Something urgent came up Eli.  I will tell you later."

"Okay fine. I will come to Lockwood's estate to pick you up then. Be ready by 7"

"Umm Okay...okay I will meet-"

She didn't get to complete her sentence as her phone is pulled from her hands.
She looks at Ethan's cold eyes flabbergasted,as he hungs up the call.

Sliding her phone in his pocket

"What the hell Ethan! I was talking!"

"No need. I told Dad about the attack and he is investigating it further. Till then you can't go anywhere alone."

"But-"

"No buts Vivian. Your safety is at stake. I can't let you go alone anywhere."

"So what am I supposed to do? Stay locked in our house?"

"No. You can go out. But I will go with you everywhere."

She rolls her eyes, to scoff at him.

"Oh come on. You can't go everywhere with me."

He turns to her, raising his eyebrow.

"Why can't I?"

"Uffff"

She says, looking at in disbelief. Running her hand through her hair.

"Why don't you understand. What if I want to meet Elijah."

His jaw hardens, making his face to loose all the humour.
She starts walking, knowing his answer when he surprises her, making her footsteps to stop.

"It's fine. You can meet him. But I will come along."

Has this man lost it? Few days back he was being so possessive, and now he is letting her meet him.

"You can't"

"Why ?"

"You just can't okay!"

"Why Vivian?"

He steps closer, narrowing his eyes at her.

"Because.... because... it's my privacy. I wonder be comfortable with you there."

"Privacy? You talk as if you are going to kiss him."

"What if I am?"

She says, smirking to only have him pull her closer to him. His eyes burning in anger, as he whispers lowly.

"Till the day you are my wife Vivian."

"You are not to kiss him or any other man other than me"

She chuckles. Finding humour in his words.
