Chapter 40: Maana Ke Hum Yaar Nahi

Soon the day of Rohit and Shehnaaz's wedding got fixed. Pammi Ji was against this wedding but still she had to accept. Neither they were doing any wedding function nor they were inviting much people to their wedding except some of their closest friends.

Meanwhile Rohit decided to arrange a small party just a day before their wedding. At first Shehnaaz didn't agree but after too many attempts, Rohit convinced her. They only invited their friends at the party. But Rohit had some other plans in his mind.

At Sidharth's House...

Sidharth was going to a concert.

"Breakfast toh karke jaa." Rita Ji said.

"No Mom main bahar hi kuch khaa lunga." Sidharth said.

"Ghar kab tak lautega?"

"Aaj back to back concerts hai. Raat ho jayegi."

Rita Ji became happy because Sidharth was focusing on his work.

Suddenly the door bell rang. Sidharth opened the door and saw Rohit.

"Hi! Myself Rohit, Shehnaaz's fiance." Rohit said and gave his hand.

The word "Shehnaaz's fiance" hit him hard. He smiled forcefully and shook hands with Rohit.

"Sidharth Shukla." He said.

"Actually apko sayad paata hoga, kaal meri aur Shehnaaz ki shaadi hai. Yeh raha humari shaadi ka card." Rohit said and gave him the card.

Sidharth was hell shocked. He couldn't believe his ears. Neeti didn't tell him about the wedding.

"S... shaadi?"

"Apko nahi paata? Actually sab kuch itna zaldi hua isliye shaadi ke sirf ek din pehle apko invitation card dena par raha hai. Anyway kaal ghar pe time se aa jaiyega. Hum lawyer ko bula kar ghar pe hi marriage registration kar rahe hai."

Sidharth wasn't able to say anything. How can Shehnaaz do that to him? She was marrying Rohit. She didn't even inform him. His heart was breaking into pieces.

"Ek aur baat. Aaj shaam ko ek choti si party hai. Sirf closest friends ko invite kiya hai humne. Aap bhi toh Shehnaaz ke bohut acche dost hain. Aa jaiyega party mein. Shehnaaz ne khud apko invite kiya hai." Rohit said.

"Shehnaaz ne?" Sidharth asked. It was unbelievable for him.

"Haan. Woh khud yaaha nahi aa payi. Party ki taiyaari mein busy hai. By the way she is very excited."

Sidharth smiled sarcastically and said, "Phir toh zaroor aaunga."

Rohit smiled and left from there.

After that Rita Ji asked, "Sidharth, are you okay?"

Sidharth wiped his tears and said, "Yeah Mom I'm fine. One minute, let me make a phone call."

Sidharth called his manager and said,
"Aaj raat ke concerts cancel kar do."

"Okay Sir."

Sidharth cut the call.

"Yeh tune kya kiya? Kahi tu uss party mein jaane ki toh nahi soch raha?" Rita Ji asked.

"Haan Mom. Main party mein jaunga. Zara apni aakhon se dekh toh loon Shehnaaz kitni khush hai Rohit ke saath. Phir mujhko satisfaction mil jayega aur main acche se move on kar paunga." Sidharth said.
