"YOUR GOING TO BE LATE FOR YOUR FLIGHT TASH! CMON! HOW MUCH STUFF DO YOU HAVE!?" my dad called from downstairs. ever since I decided to study abroad in England at Bristol University hes been treating me like i was four all over again. "ill be down in a sec! im getting my last suitcase!!' I yelled back. i couldnt belive i got into Bristol. What if i dont like it and cant come home? What if i make no friends? what if i mess up my audition for dance? All of these things were running through my mind as I got into the car. my mom was in the passenger seat and my dad was driving. I decided i wanted quiet so i put my headphones on and turned up "The A Team" by Ed Sheeran and fell asleep.
2 HOURS LATER:
"honey, wake up. We are at the airport and your flight leaves in an hour" I hear my mother say sweetly to me. I open my eyes, stretch, and get out of the car. It finally hits me that im not coming back to San Diego for a year. Im not going to have christmas or New Years or even my birthday with my parents because we cannot afford more than two flights a year which are saved for my flight to college and flight back in the summer. I started crying then and there. standing on the sidewalk with bags in tow. I dropped everything and ran to my parents and probably cut off their breathing with my bear hugs. After this extravaganza. I organized my bags and headed off to terminal seven check in. I went through security with a breeze and withing a half hour was in the area of my terminal. I checked the time, 11:30am, it would be 4:30pm in london so if i left at noon this time, i would land at 11pm, then drive another half hour to get to Bristol University, plus another half hour to unpack, so I wouldn't be settled in my room until 12:30am U.K time.. woah.. Thinking about this made me realize i hadnt eaten and I had a 6 hour flight full of only packets of peanuts and pretzel and the occasional sprite. i decided to head off to ruby tuesdays for some lunch. After i finished my Quesidilla with Guacamole on the side, I went to my Terminal line and waited the five minutes until boarding. I went on twitter and decided to tweet my goodbyes

The line started moving forward and I gave the lady my boarding pass. "have a nice flight, and thank you for choosing Worldwide Flyer as your flight of choice" she said sweetly. I nodded and walked onto the plane. "here we go Tash, say goodbye to california and hello Bristol." I tucked my carry on under my seat, put my headphones on and played the song Thrift Shop By Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, and drifted off to sleep to the sight of the plane flying through the clouds.
