as i'm doing my makeup i hear my phone ding.

i open the message and see that it's from justin. i must've given him my number last night at the party.

i change his contact to justin and i start typing my reply.

after i send my text i set my phone down, but that was pointless looking at how quickly he replied to me.

i finish getting ready and walk downstairs into the kitchen. "soo are you excited for debutante dress shopping?" susannah smiles

"do you want the real truth or fake truth"

"fake since i know your real answer"

"then yes i'm very excited"

"great! okay we're all ready!" she says looking at belly and my mom behind me

we make our way to the dress shop and i try on at least 10 different dresses. around 4:30 there's an event going on so i need to get all my dresses by today.

after i find all my event dresses, it's time for my white ball dress. i try a bunch on and hate all of them. belly already finished getting her dresses and they're waiting on me.

"guys i'm so so sorry i'm taking this long, just get me any dress at this point"

"no!" susannah says "you have to love the dress, this is an important event for me" she smiles

"but i feel bad! it's already 2:45 and the event is at 4:30!"

my mom walks in the holding a dress and i go to try it on, and i actually fall in love with it.

"guys you won't believe it, i actually like this one, no correction LOVE." i say from the dressing room

i hear a mix of "walk out!" and "show us!" as i walk out their eyes fall on me and they all smile. "you look so gorgeous evelyn" susannah says with tears in her eyes. i smile at her knowing how important this is to her because she never had the daughter to do these things with.
