it was late at night when someone knocked on your door
you weren't expecting a delivery or any friends to be hanging out with, but you opened the door and you're glad you didn't ignore it
because kuina was there, kuina became your friend when you went to her dad's lessons, you were the only person kuina trusted enough to know about her being trans
she walked in and sat herself on your couch, your parents weren't home and wouldn't be for awhile
"is it okay if I can stay here sometimes?" she asked, her eyes were red from crying on the wall here
"of course, anything for you, did something happen?" you got a bag of her favorite snack and a glass of water and handed it to her
she told you everything, how her father found out about her identity, and how she left her house with nowhere to go
"I'll talk to my parents, I'm sure they'll be fine with you staying here"
"I don't want to intrude..."
"it's totally fine! they love you, they can help until you find your own place, okay?" kuina sighed and agreed
if you were being honest, you had a crush on kuina, she was someone you could talk to about anything and she wouldn't judge you at all, but you always hesitate to tell her because you weren't sure if she liked you back
kuina still looked sad so you came up with a plan to make her happy
you grabbed her hand and pulled her from the couch
"y/n?! what are you doing?" she giggled as you dragged her to your bedroom, sitting her on your bed
you didn't respond as you got out all of the necessities
"y/nnnn" she dragged out "answer me"
finally getting everything, you moved a small table over and let her look
it was a table full of skin care products, makeup, and nail polish
"let's have a girls night! I have some extra clothes that'll probably fit you, even that old onesie you felt a few months ago"
kuina bit her lip, trying to contain the excitement and happiness this brought her, she smiled and looked up you
"let's do the face masks first and paint our nails first!" she said "we can do the makeup after"
you brought out a speaker and started playing music while you did each other's nails, and then makeup and even styling each other
you decided she needed some lipstick, as you applied it carefully, kuina realized as the closer you got, she really liked you
she knew you would be friends for a long time, knowing each other's deepest secrets, things even your parents wouldn't know, she was comfortable around you and could confidently say she loved you
but now she realizes she loves you more than just a friend, kuina is confident in every move she makes, she grabs your hand that was applying the lipstick and moves it
"what's wrong? do you not like it-" you were interrupted as her lips met your own, you were taken aback before you melted into the kiss, hands comings up to wrap around her body
she stopped after a minute, catching her breath with a smile, knowing your answer to her questions already, she didn't speak
you just giggled as she laid on your bed, you laid beside her and cuddled up to her side, with your head placed on her chest
"thank you for today" her voice was low as she spoke "I'm glad I came here today"
you fell asleep like that, cuddled up together with your makeup still in, content in each other's arms, kuina could forget about everything, as long as you were beside her, she would be okay
