Chapter 15

Chapter 15: Iceberg Lounge

After 2 nights of continuous practice, Jonas deems enough that he could walk around and go to more populous parts of Gotham City to start looking for his possible main characters for his ritual.

Changing the marionette's appearance, and clothes, it was now the opposite of a cultist get-up.

The marionette was wearing a plain white shirt and black pants paired with old plain black shoes. ( Again, just like the tuxedo- he has stolen the clothes from his father. Although Jonas doesn't feel guilty too much about it since his father has a lot of clothes and it looks like he didn't wore this clothes anymore. )

Since training 2 nights ago, other than regeneration, Jonas discovered that he could also change the appearance of the marionette which was very convenient for him. It seems that the marionette isn't just an artifact belonging to the web but it also contains the essence of the flesh. But as the name has implied marionette henchman could only change his appearance restricted to a man and he couldn't adjust the size and stature of the body to a child. The marionette henchman remains an adult man with an average and lean build.

In the afternoon, using the marionette, Jonas sneaks out of the Cane Manor. He hasn't also forgotten to bring some cash with him. After that, he rides one of the taxis and requested that he brought Jonas to the East End part of Gotham city far from the crime alley.

Jonas then spent his time walking around the crime alley and the narrows. Every time that there would be someone- some thug or thieves would approach him, Jonas then would do his best to smile widely and stare at them.

The thugs and thieves then would be deterred as they felt an unnatural feeling of fear and multiple people leering and judging them for their actions. Those thugs and thieves then run away with their tails tucked between their legs.

In the narrows, he also happen to passed a shop called Rags and Tatters. It was a pawn shop that also buy used things from clients according to his Fear God and the owner of the shop is a man named Rory Reagan.

Jonas takes note of the shop. If he has the time, he would then visit it.

Sometimes, the Eye would provide Jonas with a bunch of random information. But Jonas thought that that information aren't random at all and they have significance.

Eventually, he arrives at the Iceberg Lounge or Iceberg Casino. Whatever it is called right now. There weren't any people visiting around right now, it wasn't currently open for the clients. Iceberg was open mostly at night as it also serves as a nightclub.

But even though no people were walking towards the place, Jonas still has chosen to walk to the doors of the Iceberg until he was stopped by one of the guards.

" Halt. "

Jonas smiled and averted his gaze toward the guards. He decided to appear as non-threatening as possible. Currently, his appearance was that of a 19-year-old young man with messy red hair paired with golden eyes. He has freckles on each side of his cheek. And his golden eyes were adorned with round black glasses. He was also wearing his father's clothes which looks a little loose on him.

Overall, his appearance gives off a goody two shoes, wimpy and geeky aura.

" Hi?! "

A squeaky and a little high-pitched voice that still belonged to a young adult man came out of Jonas. It was different from Jonas's usual voice.

Another thing that Jonas discovered just like the appearance, he could also modify the voice of the puppet henchman.

" What are you doing here, kid? "
