Plot: buck is having nightmares and isn't sleeping

The title of this chapter is taken from the title of season 5 episode 13 of 911 when Eddie has his breakdown this has nothing to do with that episodes but i liked the title and it fits this one shot so i used it.

Also just be very very aware i did not proof read this at all so if there's mistakes you can point them out and I'll fix it or just ignore it and move on.

Anything in italics are thoughts

Tw: swearing, nightmares, arguing, probably other things too.

Buck pov

I was asleep.

I was.

Was.

As in not anymore.

I look at the clock on my nightstand 3:30 am

A nightmare

I woke up sweating and panicking.

I woke up with tears running down my face

I haven't had a nightmare since i was much younger why now?

I get out of bed and go take a shower.

After my shower i decide to get ready for my day.

I put on regular day clothes.

I go to my kitchen and start making breakfast.

I make 2 pieces of toast and decide thats good enough.

I go back to my room and put a show on my phone.

I try to do anything i can to take my mind off my dream but the thought still sticks around in the back of my mind.

After a while of watching my show i got bored of just laying in bed.

I got out of my bed and went to the living room.

I sit on the couch and open my laptop from beside me.

I open google.

'The fear of abandonment'

I search

A lot of information comes up.

I go down a rabbit hole of looking at all the links and sites that were given to me.

I come across one in particular.

Fears and dreams is there a correlation?

I open the link.

I read for what didn't feel like very long but then i hear my phone going off beside me its my alarm to get ready for work.

I dont close the tab.

I put my laptop into its bag and i go to put on my uniform.

I leave a little early today bringing my laptop with me.

When i get to the station i walk in and put my stuff in my locker.

I hear my friends upstairs talking.

I walk up the stairs.

"Hey buck come sit." Bobby says as he sets down a plate of food for me.

"Thanks bobby but im not hungry."

"What do you mean you aren't hungry?"

"I ate earlier before i came sorry."

"You never eat before you come to work buck whats going on?"
