(Episode starts outside the Dalmatian house. It is a stormy night.)
(While the camera slowly moves towards the window of the living room, rain whips against it.)
(The vision through it is blocked.
Because of the raindrops, we can only see blurry, washed-out silhouettes of the dogs inside and their muffled conversation.)
(Finally, the camera is let inside the house and we see the entire family in the living room.)
(The parents; Delilah and Doug are sitting in front of Dylan and Dolly, while the puppies are behind them.)

Doug: Dolly, Dylan we both have a critical emergency at work.
It might even take all night... We count on you two to keep an eye on my precious pups... and ehm... at the same time your siblings!

Delilah: I can't believe that my work partner could have started a fire in the human-hospital... or you know what?
It doesn't really surprise me...

Dolly: Woah okay ... calm down dad.
Why are you making such a big deal now?
This will be a breeze.
We already watched them over multiple times.

Doug: Don't be so sure my dear... because today is different...
(A loud thunder strikes which enlightens the room for a brief moment so we can see nothing.)
(In the next frame the puppies, who were behind the parents, are gone.)

Dolly:
Ehhh... what?
(We can hear whimpering from around every corner in the room.)

(Delilah and Doug start to recollect all the pups and place them on the couch.)

Doug: We have flashy night today.
So, it will be pretty challenging to maintain control.

Dylan: Dolly is right, I also think that it will be easy as kibble...

(With a confident smile, watching his nails)

Dylan: I am a professional...

Delilah: Ha-ha, you surely are!
But seriously, don't take it to lightly Dylan.
A pup should sleep on and not under his bed keep that in mind while we are gone.
Okay, we really have to go now, Doug.

(Another lighting enlightens the room.)
(The calmed pups on the couch are yet again in disarray, whimpering but don't run away this time.)
(Doug turns around to them, tilts his head and offers one last goodbye hug for everyone.)

Doug: Don't be scared my little ones.
Nothing will happen to you.
You are in good paws...

(Delilah looks at him shaking her head slowly with an amused smile on her face.)

Delilah: Ha-ha you're done, Doug?

(With a sad and sobering voice)
Doug: Noooooo! (Sobs)

(Delilah proceeds to push him out of the room.)

(In a desperate last effort)
Doug: Goodbye, everyone!
I am gonna miss you sooo much!!

Everyone in the room: Bye Dad!
(Dolly shakes her head slowly with a wide smile on her face.)
(On the other hand, Dylan follows his parents to the door so he can close it behind them.)

(While Delilah pushes Doug outside, she turns around towards Dylan.)

Delilah: Oh, and one more thing Dylan.

Dylan: What is it, mum?

Delilah: When Doug and the others weren't with us.
I always read you and your siblings a story when there was a flashy night.
And afterwards, we pretended that we are the characters in the story.
This always made you all forget the scary flashes...

Dylan: Thank you for this advice, Mum, but I won't need it.
You two can go now, seriously we got this under control...

(Delilah clearly has sunken into the deep abyss of beautiful nostalgia, and ignores Dylan entirely.)

Delilah: ...You were always the most passionate pup when we played out the stories.
Ha-ha, I still remember when you wanted me to lift you up in the air towards the ceiling lamp when you made us stand on the table surrounded by your siblings.
And do you still remember what happened next?
Ha-ha!
