Good Morning Goodbye
Tired and groggy, I woke up this morn,
With the feeling that I haven't accomplished,
My bed was messy, my room was torn,
And my wall was cluttered with items, I admonished.
I walked down the ladder, almost tripped,
On the drawer that was left open under my bed,
The ground was covered in clothes, it was a risk,
And the unpleasant smell filled my nostrils with dread.
In the closet, the cubes had fallen, And the clothes and bins looked uglier than before,
I played "Stargazing" while getting dressed,  More clothes has fallen,
And danced to "Ripped My Pants," making bear noises galore.
I used the bathroom, which was a mess, And put on some mismatched socks that were too small,
I smothered concealer and blended with distress,
And put on lip tint in a hurry, looking like a doll.
I got my backpack and stuffed my Chromebook, Ready to go to school, feeling refreshed and new,
Although the morning was a bit of a crook, I was ready to take on the day, with a half glass empty view.
