while you dreamt,
the good Lord
created me,
made of flesh and bone,
perfectly sculpted.
taken from your right side,
i was made to exist beside you.
i imagine some days,
if God had created you for me.
and although it feels
as if He did,
i am to be yours.
i would give all my treasures
to go through this life again and again
if it meant i could be the bone
God snapped from your rib cage.
i would give all my riches
to go through this life again and again
if it meant i could be the flesh
God severed off your side.
i would give any of my five senses
to be the one God made
to complete you.
to be the helpmeet,
for your day to day,
has got to be
the greatest fate
i could ever receive.
if only you knew...
what pleasure it is
being the one
He designed for you.
how could i

wrong in that?
