ENHYPEN's Stylist Has This Complaint About Jia That Have Sent Netizens Into A Frenzy

Fashion is a significant part of a K-Pop group's image and it seems that more often than not some problems arise. Whether it be shoes too big, inappropriate styling, or clothing getting in the way of the idol dancing.

Gina Maeng, a Hybe stylist, had a thing or two to say about ENHYPEN's Jia.

The stylist, who had been working in the industry for 10 years, had a complaint that Jia's waist is so small that majority of her clothes need to be tailored.

"Over the years I've worked with many idols, but I had the toughest time working with Enhypen. The members are great, but styling Jia is very tough. Since she has such as small waist and frame, most clothes are very loose fitting on her. Pants are the hardest to find on her size because they're either not long enough for her legs or the waist band is too big for her waist.

So due to her waist being so small, most of her clothes need to be tailored. Because of that I spend the most time on her."

Soon after making this statement, netizens could not stop talking about it. Many thought Jia was about to have a scandal on her hands similar to Irene in 2020, but netizens were taken aback.

Since Jia usually opts for a tomboy style and fashion so her figure is usually hidden behind her clothes. So for a long time, people didn't know about Jia's small waist until she pitched at a baseball game. Netizens could not believe that Jia's waist was that small and insisted that the pictures must've been photoshopped, but they weren't.

Since then, people speculated on how many inches her waist must be and the popular guesses were 22 and 19 inches.

The same stylist later confirmed Jia's waist to be the smallest in Kpop with only 17 inches.

Many netizens are still shocked by this, and it has become a hot topic on the internet.

I think it's great that she has a nice body. But I really really wish netizens and reporters can stop glorifying thinness like this. A lot of idols achieve this look (not all, some are naturally skinny) by reducing their body fat percentage to a unhealthy low through starvation or cutting out water weight. Jia may just be naturally very thin like Guu Hara who was famous for her ant waist. But the majority of women are not like that and it's detrimental for young girls to be bombarded with articles like this because it's another standard that they falsely believe they have to fit into...
