Ash Ketchum is a 16 year old boy who is starting his Pokemon Journey today. The Pokemon League changed the time when Trainers could get their starters from 10 to 16 as they found out how unsafe it was. Now then Let's go To Ash waking up in his room
"Today is the day when I start my journey" Ash said while Yawning
Ash then looked at the clock and saw that he was almost late for getting his starter
"Oh man I'm almost late" Ash said as he rushed downstairs
"Your finally downstairs" Delia said
"Why didn't you wake me up" Ash said
"You said that when your 10 you won't need me to wake you up" Delia said
"Ah man I gotta rush breakfast" Ash said
"Well here you are bacon and Eggs" Delia said as she placed the plate down

Ash then rushed in eating his breakfast and ran out of the house
"That Boy. He is so much more mature but still child-like. Riley if Ash truly gets all 8 badges he will definitely learn the truth about you" Delia said as Ash left
While Ash was running to Professor Oak's lab that was when Ash saw his childhood friend and Rival Gary Oak
"Hey Ash look I just got the last starter, it's good that my Gramps held on to it for me" Gary said
"So does that mean that there aren't any pokemon left for me" Ash said
"Well I believe Gramps has a pokemon that your father left for you" Gary said
"Oh well then I'll go and see. Bye Gary" Ash said
"see you later dude" Gary said waving away
When Ash entered the Lab he was greeted by professor oak
"Ah Ash my boy it is good to see you" Oak said with a smile
"Hi professor Oak I'm here to get my starter" Ash said
"Oh I'm sorry Ash, Squirtle, Charmander and Bulbasaur were already taken" Professor Oak said
Prof Oak and Ash then went upstairs
"so you don't have any pokemon for me" Ash said with a sad look on his face
"Well Your father did leave a pokemon for you" Professor Oak said
"Really what is it" Ash said
"well here it is" Professor Oak said
Prof Oak then brought a Pikachu out

"Woah, My Father really left this for me" Ash said in amazed of the Pikachu
"Yes and he wanted you to be able to get close to him" Professor Oak said
"Well then let's put you back in your Pokeball" Ash said
Ash got Pikachu's pokeballs and tried to return it but Pikachu knocked the Pokeball out of Ash's hand
"I forgot to mention Pikachu isn't one for staying in his pokeball" Oak said
"Well then I'll keep his pokeball in my pocket and you can sit on my shoulder" Ash said to Pikachu.
Pikachu smiled and then went onto Ash's shoulder
"well that was a great way to solve your problem" Oak said
"I think we are going to become great friends" Ash said as he left the pokemon lab
