Neverland, May 2018

"We called the seamstresses Dreamweavers and the works Dreamer's Webs ", Maleficent said ponderingly one late night, "The humans, however, would simply call them tapestries."

It was Flume's summer vacation. She had just come home only a day before. Unlike the rest of her classmates, her mother had decided to pull her out of school a week earlier to go over the plans for the summer. The two were to take a road trip around North America in a month to determine where Flume would live after finishing her final term at the Academy. That day, however, Flume and Maleficent were in the living room of the Forbidden Mountains manor, when Flume asked about the tapestry hanging over the wall of the room.

In many ways, the common room had looked as it did centuries earlier with its elaborate dark green wallpaper and leather black couches placed in the center, surrounded by several tall bookshelves made of glossy dark oak wood that housed all sorts of books from authors such as Shakespeare to Stephanie Meyer as well as several films, both DVDs and VCHs. Next to the bookshelves hung a colorful tapestry, its brightness contrasting with the gloom of the dark room. However, despite its old-fashioned appearance, the room certainly became more modern over the years. An old-fashioned television was in front of the couch and there was an elaborate black chandelier placed in the ceiling recently with lightbulbs instead of candles, glowing with just a switch. The two were sitting together on one of the couches.

The common room was on the main floor, right below the bedrooms, which were only seven. There were only a few residents in the castle: Flume, Maleficent, Aunt Gidgette, and Aunt Anastasia. Flume's bedroom used to belong to Aunt Cruella before she moved away. The sixth bedroom was what Flume called the Ghost's bedroom which happened to be in between Maleficent's and Gidgette's.

The others referred to it as the cats' bedroom as it was of course for the two cats but it still had the belongings of its last resident who was no longer with them. Her mother never had the heart to remove the traces, not that Flume expected her to. On the contrary, it was interesting seeing the antiques which mainly consisted of expensive Looking Glass, glass statues, lovely tapestries, ornately carved, old pottery particularly china teacups, and of course, the photographs.

Her mom was nothing if not sentimental. The seventh was the guest bedroom, otherwise known as Aunt Nina's second bedroom. Aunt Nina typically lived in Primrose Castle along with the rest of the female soldiers but spent half her time with the Originals in the Manor. She seemed to have a closer bond with the elder ones, particularly Maleficent and Aunt Gidgette for whatever reason so she would be there for tea and spend the night there.

Aunt Gidgette's bedroom was larger compared to most of the rooms. Maleficent would always joke that it was fit for a tsarina. Flume noticed that the decorations in Gidgette's bedroom had similar colors in the Ghost's Bedroom, in the sense that the entire room was pink but while the Ghost's room looked more simple, her aunt's room looked like Marie Antoinette owned it with the elaborated bedding.

Her Aunt Anastasia's bedroom, the one in the manor,  was almost rarely slept in though Flume was not surprised for her aunt Nancy slept in her room sporadically. Her aunt Nancy was perhaps the second oldest resident and she had been alive when Neverland was created. Her bedroom was always right next to her mom's and was smaller than most.

Flume stared at the tapestry hanging across the wall. For years, she had studied its magnificence. It appeared to be a colorful portrait of the woods as it showed the shadows of evergreen pine trees behind the silver mountain in the golden sky while also showing several animals in solid gold threat. She could see the shadows of golden birds, wolves, elephants, and other magnificent creatures. It was one of several tapestries that hung around the castle.
