Chapter four
the maze runner
let's get into it
I hear someone walking towards me, i get up and wrap my hands around the ropes once again
Minho comes into my sight
"You good to come out buttercup?" He uses the nickname again
I want to slap him for locking me in here all night, it was so uncomfortable, i barely got any sleep
But i'll act nice, just so i can get out
"Yeah" I mutter
"You try anything and you're back in here" He warns as he opens the pit
As soon as it's open i climb out, i go to run but Minho predicted me, he puts his hand out in front of me, on my chest
"Don't try it buttercup" He warns
"Fine" I give him sass as i grab his hand and pull it away from my chest
"Go get food" He demands
"Don't tell me what to do" I scoff as i walk away from him
"Oh come on, you know you can't be mad at me" He chases up to me
"I can actually" I give him a fake smile
"That needed to happen, you haven't been here long enough to know what happens to people who are stung"
"There has to be a cure" I reply
"There's not, we have searched everywhere, it doesn't exist" He signs
"It could be in the maze, you said you haven't searched it all?" I question
"Come with me" He says and begins walking away
I stay put
"You wanna see or not?" He turns around to look at me
I sigh before following him, he brings me into the forest and then we go into a hut
I see there's a maze on the table
"The maze" He waves his hands over it
"I thought you didn't explore it all yet?" I question
"We did, there's no way out" He admits
"There has to be, i'll find one"
"There's not" He looks down
"So what i'm just stuck here?"
"We all are!" He states firmly
"No one else knows about this, they all have hope, don't you dare say a word" He points his finger at me
"Ok- GALLY" I shout running away from him
"ASTRID WAIT" Minho calls out for me
