{Simon's POV}

"Where are we going?" Tami asked

"I was hoping to go for a picnic by this lake I've found, it's peaceful there" I said

"Oh that sounds cool, walking or car?" Tami asked

"Car since it's kinda far" I said and Tami nodded her head

"I'll go get his car seat then" Tami said before disappearing, I look at Alex who is playing with my chain

"Do you have some kind of thing for chains buddy?" I asked, Alex looks at me before waving my chain in his hand

"Guess we have to get you a chain of your own soon" I said which made Alex squeal, Tami walks back into the kitchen with a car seat and socks

"Look what mummy found in the car seat" Tami said to Alex who giggled

"Mummy is losing her mind slowly since she doesn't remember leaving the socks there" Tami said and we both laughed

"Come on, let's go" I said and set Alex into the car seat, I do the belt while Tami puts his socks on

"Nando's okay as food?" I asked and Tami giggled

"Some things haven't changed since I've last seen you" Tami said

"Hey! Nando's is life" I said

"Ain't arguing with that" Tami said before I picked up the car seat

"Let's go" I said and chuckled, we both left and went to the car. Let's hope everything goes well today

{Skipping Journey there}

Me and Tami got out of the car, Tami had grabbed the Nando's bag since we made a Nando's stop while I grabbed the car seat with Alex in it

"Where we going?" Tami asked

"Follow me" I said before leading them to an open field with a lake by it (MEDIA) I go to where a blanket and picnic basket is

"How?" Tami asked

"I came here earlier plus Jenny and Natalie were just here, they left just as I parked" I said and set the car seat down before sitting down along with Tami. We both look at Alex who is giggling while staring at the lake

"I question what goes through his head sometimes" Tami said with a smile on her face as we watch Alex

"He has a lot of energy that's for sure" I said

"That's because he has learnt how to keep me up, sometimes just giggles to himself" Tami said

"That's normal" I said jokingly

"Really normal" Tami said and chuckled

"I remember him just waking me up one night since there is a cot in my room in case he can't sleep and I just decide to keep him in my room. But anyways he woke me up by squealing and it was like 4 in the morning so I got out of bed before going over to the cot to find him just hidden under the blanket squealing because it was tickling him. I moved the blanket and giggled at how happy he was to have the blanket off his face, it was so cute but funny" Tami said and I smiled

"I can imagine that happening" I said before setting everything up while Tami watches

"You didn't have to do this Simon" Tami said

"I know but I wanted to see you guys since I had the afternoon free so why not a little picnic also I had grabbed some yogurts for Alex but wasn't exactly sure what he would like" I said before grabbing the yogurts and handing them to Tami, she looks at them and smiles

"Seems like you already know what he likes" Tami said, I guess I'm not doing a bad job as a father then. Really do hope today goes well...
