Spring Dances her Way

Verdure,
shamrock hills lean over
to reach with moistened grass fingers,
pleasure,
and placed a gentle kiss
niveous to the river.
above arching, iridescent bliss,
the rainbow bends to crown
the craggy peak.
yonder, pouring down
winter dies, weary and bleak
shrouded in the ruffled gown
of black and gray
still, on earth there's no sorrow
most gracious sibling,
Spring,
just danced her way
with blooming cadence to the meadow
leaving footprints of flowers
purple, white, red, pink, and yellow.
