Forest

Wandering in my Eternal Forest,
Passing an Ancient Well...
I've been Trapped Inside it many Times,
Before it had Walls and was just a Pit...
I know its many Ledges and Slippery Walls,
For I've been on all and Tried to climb all...
If you Fall Deep and land on its lowest ledges,
The Living Shadows will Try to Pull you into the Abyss...
Getting out is Hard and can take Time,
But once out, Sunshine, Moonlight and Flowers await...
Wandering Free through the Forest,
Enjoying the Small Things in Life...
Until a thought of the Pit breaks the Light,
And returns you to that Open Spot...
Sometimes you don't even Notice it,
And you'll Stumble and Fall back in...
Sometimes you just Wonder,
How bad was it really?
And look over the Edge...
Sometimes that's all and you'll Walk Away...
But if you're Unlucky the Shadows will Rise,
And Pull you back into the Pit's Darkness...

But even After I've found my Wings,
The Shadows pulled me Back, Deep...
But I was Lucky,
For Someone Unknown threw a Rope at me...
Once out a Wall started to Build around the Pit,
And I couldn't Stumble and Fall in no more...
Nowadays I walk by sometimes,
And Smile as I see the high Wall...
Every time I walk by I see it's a bit Higher,
And lush green Plants are Overgrowing it...
I sometimes still feel the urge to Peek,
But the Shadows are Afraid to Rise...
Maybe one Day they'll do even so,
And I know it's hard to get out of a Well,
Harder than a Pit...
But for Now I feel Safe in my Eternal Forest...
