Hello, and welcome back to 'The Book of Terrus'!

If you're here from Volume 2, 'The Wise and Powerful', then thank you so much for choosing to continue the journey with me. If not, then consider this your official notice; 'A Land of Sunlight' is Volume 3 in the series, please close out and start at the beginning; Volume 1, 'The Ghosts of Goran'!

Now that we have that out of the way, I cannot tell you how honoured I am that you're invested enough in the stories of Jath, Vinie, Lhara, Arzai, and the world of Goran that you're taking the plunge into YET ANOTHER sequel. TBoT is not only a story of a nation(s), but of the people who broke and built it. And if a little magic happens to make its way into the tale...so much the better.

As the master storyteller himself, J.R.R. Tolkien said, "It simply isn't an adventure worth telling if there aren't any dragons."

For this round of acknowledgements, I'd like to pay tribute to some of the fictional characters who have found a place in my heart and lent me inspiration through their stories;

Kayley, from the film 'Quest for Camelot', who showed me my first glimpse of a heroine who could both save the day AND kiss the boy

Legolas, from 'Lord of the Rings' (book/LOTR version), whose unfailing sense wonder and playfulness even in the darkest of hours is something we could all use a spark of 

Kanan, from 'Star Wars: Rebels', who taught me so much about 'the hero's journey', and about how much a realistic father figure can come to mean not only to a protagonist, but to the audience as well

To you, the reader, I sincerely hope you enjoy exploring the world of Terrus along with me; every new chapter I write is just as much an adventure to me as I hope it will be to you.
