America glared coldly at Confederacy

"Give me back my states"

"OH, these ones?!"

Confederacy had a shit eating grin on his face as he pointed towards the 9 stars on his flag, and America scowled
Russia raised an eyebrow, the states actually joined that dick eating monster? That couldn't be right

"Instead of starting another fight, how about you let us in so we can talk?"

He tried to explain, and both Confederacy and America glared at Russia
Though China nodded, agreeing, why would they want another pointless war to break out?
Confederacy huffed and opened the door wider so the 7 countries could come in, and they all did, very wearily though
China seated them all on the couch, he just noticed North Korea wasn't there, he was gonna have to ask about that once they all settled down
Confederacy looked at all the sitting countries, then at China

"I would like to have a word with America for a quick second"

"Well, what is it-"

"Alone, I wanna talk with him alone"

The 7 countries tensed up when hearing that
America rolled his eyes and stood up, but Canada quickly grabbed onto his arm

"Ame.."

"Nada, I'll be fine, don't worry"

Canada calmed down a bit when America gave him a reassuring smile
Confederacy looked like he was getting impatient, but that look left his face when Canada let go of America
The Confederate made a motion towards America to follow him, and he did
They walked up towards China's room, the only bedroom in the house
Once the two were in the room, America looked around as Confederacy locked the door, so the other countries wouldn't barge in
The 41 star country heard the lock of the door, and whipped his head around

"Do you really need to lock the door?"

"Give me your states"

America got thrown off at that, confederacy completely dodged his question

"W-what-"

"You heard me"

America glared at this. He was not gonna give up his states that easily

"No, are you serious?"

"I've never been more serious"

The Confederate mumbled as he slipped a hand in his pocket, pulling out a gun, more specifically a pistol, and aiming it straight at America's head
It wasn't a complicated gun, just a quick shoot and kill, hopefully
America looked unfazed, but the states in his head were freaking out at the fact they were either gonna be given up or shot

"Would you mind changing your answer, America"

"..it's still gonna be a no-"

Confederacy didn't let America finish, he brought the gun down and pulled the trigger, shooting America straight in the stomach
America doubled over in pain, it didn't typically hurt, but it burned like hell, and he knew it was gonna get worse
As soon as confederacy took that shot, he got a major headache and was loosing his balance, the states in his head were revolting
America felt himself break apart, he couldn't keep himself together with such pain
Confederacy's vision got blurry, but he was able to see America break apart and 41 states appear in the room, Kansas was the one that fell to the floor
Arkansas ran over and quickly saw, Kansas was the one that took the shot to the stomach
The state felt tears prick his eyes as he quickly tried to put pressure on the wound, whispering no over and over
Colorado slid over and helped put pressure on the wound, Kansas felt himself slipping in and out of consciousness at this point
Confederacy was able to straighten up and take some sort of control over the 9 states, but looked forward to see 38 states ready to fight him, the other two on the side trying to stop Kansas from bleeding out and dying
Confederacy felt Texas and California were too strong, they were both totally revolting, they wanted to break apart, they wanted out of there
He knew he didn't wanna fight with the 38 states standing in front of him, and he didn't wanna face the countries, so he let himself fall to his knees as he broke apart, the 9 states that joined him sprawled out on the floor
Now, you might be wondering, where are the countries?
They obviously heard the gun shot, and Russia and Canada were currently trying to break down the door
the 41 states felt betrayed by the nine on the floor, who got hit by the reality of the situation
The door broke down, and Russia quickly came in, almost falling
Canada ran over to the 3 on the floor, and turned to Aussie

"Call an ambulance!"

He yelled, and Aussie did as told, his fingers shaking as he pressed in the famous three numbers, holding the phone up to his ear
Kansas had a weak smile on his face as he looked up at the two states that had been helping him
He tried to choke out some type of word, but he couldn't, he was too weak
This made Arkansas let out a sob

"Don't you dare give up, Kansas"

The state on the floor let out a weak laugh at this, Colorado looking at the two brothers sadly
Kansas slowly shut his eyes, mumbling something along the lines of "I'm tired"
Canada heard this, and shook his head

"Stay awake for as long as you can"

He didn't receive a response, making his anxiety peak up
Yeah, Kansas had passed out
Colorado placed his fingers on the states' neck, feeling if there was a pulse

"He's..breathing, but it's kinda slow"

Those words didn't help Arkansas
The sirens of the ambulance could be heard in the distance, and they were coming close
Surprisngly, none of the states had talked, seemed like they were all hoping for Kansas to stay alive
The countries were whispering to each other, they didn't rush the states to form back into America, letting them do that when they were ready
The sirens were clear, and Russia walked over and tried to pick up Kansas, but Arkansas would no let go of his brother
Russia looked towards Colorado, and he understood, going over and wrapping his arms around the other state, pulling him back
This allowed Kansas to be picked up by Russia, and Arkansas started to scream, yelling at russia that he couldn't leave his brother, he wanted and needed to be there for him
Some states cringed at this, the yelling broke the silence that was upon them
After some screaming, Arkansas broke down, leaning into Colorado and letting tears flow down his cheeks
Colorado had a few tears rolling down his cheeks as well, but he was quiet, just letting Arkansas sob into his shoulder
There was a knock on the front door, and Russia took the passed out state to the door
France followed after, rushing ahead and opening the door
Russia walked out with the state, and Kansas was quickly placed on a stretcher
Before the doors shut to the ambulance, Arkansas ran out with Colorado following
It seemed they were too late, the doors shut and the ambulance drove away. The two states were gonna ask to go in and stay with Kansas, but it seemed the nurses were in quite a rush to treat the state, so they probably would have been declined
The four outside had to wait for the other's inside to come outside so they could drive to the hospital
During all of this, China had tried to run away, but Britain and Aussie quickly got ahold of him, and when everyone went outside, they were dragging him out

"We are gonna take him to the police department, then go get North Korea"

Russia nodded at this, the beaten North Korea was still in his basement
All the states managed to fit in the cars, they were pretty small after all. The countries then drove all of them to the hospital, Aussie and Britain staying back with the deadpan China

"..why'd you do it anyway?"

Aussie asked, looking towards China
China just shrugged

"Confederacy and me got along pretty well, so why not?"

He received a kick from Britain when he was done talking, a small "ow" leaving his lips
They started to drag him to the department after that, watching the others rush to the hospital to see if the state will end out okay
Britain decided to recap everything that happened
America got sick, germany made a cure, but was only able to get to France, America then broke apart, confederacy was able to get on the loose, joined up with China and North Korea, they stole some states, and the states joined up with confederacy, then America was formed again, then all of them went to confront the three bad guys, america and confederacy talked, america got shot, confederacy broke apart, and so didAmerica, and now a state was being rushed to the hospital
It seemed Aussie was thinking the same, and he turned to Britain

"This has been the most confusing time of my life, not including the emu's"

"Yeah, agreed.."
