Peter P.O.V

Mr. Stark waits for me to get the stuff I want to bring. I'm in my closet, trying to not freak out. I'm going to the Avengers tower. Oh. My. God. I've been there before but this... this is very different.

For starters, they aren't trying to kill me, which is a relief.

"You okay back there Pete?"

My head perks up. "Yup, I'm done." I stand and turn to Mr. Stark. I see him looking at my photos and I suck in a breath. "T-Those are r-really nothing, um Mr. Stark, they're just some pictures of--"

"Your life." He snatches on and looks at it closely, squinting.

"My old life, you mean." I shove my phone into my pocket, fumbling with the earbuds nervously.

"Why would this be your old life?"

"Reincarnation."

"Very funny."

I bob my head a few times before looking up. "Well, That's the past. All those pictures are shots of... my memories. Some of them are happy, some aren't." He keeps looking at the picture, and I grab it from his hand. "Like this one," I continue. "This is a picture of me and my mom and dad at Times Square at New Year. I think this was when I was four." I smooth down the tape onto my wall. I look at Tony, then point to another picture. "And this one was from the 2010 Stark Expo." I smile a little, remembering that exhilarating and terrifying day.

^^

"Peter! Look!"

"I can't see daddy!"

"Oh right because you're a short little guy, aren't you?" Says daddy, swinging me into his arms for a hug. I giggle and squirm.

"Daddy pick me up!"

"All right, but you better hold on!" He crouches down and I get onto his shoulders, wrapping my legs around his neck. "Not to tight or you might choke--" Suddenly there's screams and then shatters and loud explosions. I'm thrown off Daddy's back and land hard, hurting my head. I had my Iron Man helmet on though so it didn't hurt too much.

I stand and Daddy starts grabbing my hand. "Come on Peter we have to go--"

He's swept away by the panicking crowd, and the last I see is his hand, trying to get to me. There's a clank behind me, and I turn. A robot, the evil ones, lifts its arm, ready to shoot. I do the same and stare into the light of its hand. Then his hand is gone, and little bits of metal rain on me. I look up. Iron Man is there, with his blasters powering down.

"Nice work kid." Then he flies up, into the night, and I watch his firelight grow faint. I drop my hand and giggle.

"Awesome!"

^^

"You were there?" Asks Mr. Stark, snapping me out of the memory. I look up and see he's frowning at the picture.

"Yeah. You actually, um, saved my life," I chuckle at my embarrassment.

His eyebrows raise. "I saved you?"

"Yeah, I lost my dad, um, in the running crowd and next thing I knew, one of those evil robots landed behind me, and me being a stupid little kid thought I could take him, you know? And it was about to shoot me -It probably thought I was Iron Man--"

"Why would it think that?"

"Well I was wearing an Iron Man mask and gloves, so the thing must've gotten confused," I reply. "Anyway, you blew it up, and said--"
