Unfortunately for Sage, the amount of work that Remus was getting swamped with was growing. Especially when the snowstorm was on the horizon, even though they were wolves, it was still a difficult issue of being completely secluded with the human world out of reach.

It wasn't impossible, but it meant that the warehouses needed to be stocked. Every household needed a specific number of previsions within the home.

There hadn't been a severe storm in years, but after dealing with a pack of starving wolves being forced to hunt instead of having home-cooked meals, he didn't want a repeat of what happened his first year as being Alpha.

No, it will not happen again.

Especially now that he had a mate? It was as if everything in his mindset went into hyperdrive.

What if Sage goes hungry?
Goes cold?

Eli and Jack noted that there was defiantly more of a family man in their alpha, but it was the change they were looking for. Just last year had the door shut for wolves to join their pack, and now it was lifted.

However with all this work, Sage hadn't been able to see her mate for a while. Not unless she herself visited the Pack house, and it was then that Remus understood that he was falling into his work too much.

So he added the Gamma to the group full time, and it allowed a somewhat balanced committee. And with the Gamma it added a feminine figure as well. Which was perfect for Sage to still be incorporated, even if she didn't understand it all, her wolf still felt involved.

Today though, was an off day. Leaving Sage in their kitchen to continue with her homework that was assigned just this morning.

However she took a decent break with her studying and made herself a sandwich, Camilla always kept the ingredients on hand for her to make.

Especially when she could make a chicken sandwich on her own.

It wasn't that Sage herself was a messy eater, but the idea of washing her hands was a nice task. And she always found herself doing it after her meal.

Coming into the bathroom did she ignore the mirror, only until her curiosity jolted up to her meeting eyes. It escaped her mind more than a few times that this is what she looked like, having been deprived of it for so long she forgot she had her own face.

But as her eyes trailed down to her neck, she grinned. Remus had gifted her with a necklace. It mirrored the one he had on his person, and when she was shown he received the brightest smile he's ever gotten.

Sage didn't dare take it off her person, and she took extra care when placing it with her clothes before going on a run. Or even leaving it home as she didn't want to lose it.

It was a simple DogTag, only this had been half of the one Remus' had been wearing for the past few years. If he wasn't able to mark his mate, then he would put something in its place for the time being.

However, all was well interrupted when a sequenced knock sounded at the front door. Sage narrowed her brows and departed from the bathroom in utter confusion. Even her reference to the clock left her out of place.

Remus wouldn't be home for another hour, and he wouldn't knock. Nor would anyone from the family as they all have keys or they would warn her in advance.

So who was at the door?

The lock took a second to figure out, and when Sage opened the door she was indeed introduced to Laura. In her arms, she held a bundle of beautiful flowers and a bag, but all in all...Sage stood in damnation in what to do.
