Chapter 48- What really happened that night?

It's been a few days since Otis passed and Harper hasn't been herself. Casey and Kelly sit her down in her quarters
"What's up?" Harper asks
"Your not leaving until you tell us what he said to you" Casey says sitting down
"What do you mean?" Harper says letting out a nervous laugh
"Tell us what Otis said to you! Clearly he said something!" Kelly says concerned
"I already told you what he said!" Harper says
"You can tell us!" Casey says
"Fine!" Harper says going into a flashback of that night
*The night Otis died*
"Otis!" Harper says running over to him
She takes his gear off to discover his body burned from the neck down. She knows he doesn't have much time left. She lies down next to him and takes his hand in hers.
"Your gonna be okay! I've got you Otis!" Harper says holding back her tears
"Thank you Harper" Otis says weakly
"For what?" Harper says confused
"Being the best Captain! And you've helped Cruz out a lot too" Otis says with his breathing getting slower
"You were the best thing that happened to 51. Please don't forget me" Otis says with his eyes beginning to shut
"No Otis! You stay awake! For a minute longer! You were the best driver that 81 has ever had!" Harper says with tears rolling down her face
"I'm not ready to go yet" Otis says closing his eyes
"Otis! Stay awake!" Harper says gripping onto his hand tighter
"Tell Cruz I love him" Otis says before he stops breathing
"No Otis! Wake up! Please! We still need you!" Harper shouts
But Otis is gone...
*Present Day*
"And now I have to sit through his funeral knowing that I watched him die! I sat back and let it happen!" Harper says whilst sobbing
"Hey! We all know that there was nothing more you could do" Kelly says rubbing her back
"Yeah! You did everything you could Harper! You sat with him and made him feel safe!" Casey says
"Cruz is heartbroken! He has the right to feel like that! He just lost his best friend! Why do I feel so horrible!" Harper says sobbing into Kelly's chest
"Shhh! It's okay!" Kelly says rubbing Harper's back before shooting Casey a look
"Why don't you go home? Get some rest?" Casey suggests
"I'm already short on truck! They can't loose another one!" Harper says pulling herself together and walking out

Okay! Sorry for all the sad chapters! But I was thinking about ending this book soon! But I have so much more to give to this story! Should I make book number 3? So it's kinda like season 3? What do yall think? Let me know in the comments! Thanks!
