"what's that?" Rico asked
"My brother.... And he's REALLY mad"
"Just tell him you're next door, no biggie"
I shot Rico an "are you kidding me" look.
"What, just talk to him. He's not gonna kill you or something"
I sighed
"Fine" I said in low tone
I placed the phone on my ear and all I could hear was loud yells of "HELLO"
"Hey-hey, I'm still here. I'm at Rico's place. What's up?"
"And you really didn't think of telling me?!"
"Sorry, it skipped my mind"
"Really? it skipped your mind?! What if something had happened to you?"
"I'm just next door Jack, relax"
"What are you doing at Mrs Garcia's house?"
"Not that neighbor, my other neighbor"
"Rico?"
"Aren't you listening to me? I said I was at his place few minutes ago.... You were too busy yelling that you weren't even listening to my responses.... And yh, don't worry about me, I'm fine"
"Wait so you spent the whole night at Rico's place?...are you two doing hookups now or..."
"Ew! No!, It's .... A long story"
"I wanna hear it, go on..."
"Not over the phone Jack"
"Why? You don't want Rico to hear our conversation or what?"
"It's not that it's just..."
"It's just what?, Tell me... I'm really worried here"
"I-uh- I went on another date yesterday and..."
"It didn't go well?"
"Something like that"
"Oof... See why I don't go on dates?"
"Yh, don't worry... I'm done dating. Rachel Park is DONE dating"
"Mhm... That's what you said last time" Jack chuckled
"I'm serious this time... Stop laughing at me"I said and pouted
"Is he laughing?" Rico asked
I nodded
"Aww you look so cute pouting" Rico said
"Are teasing me too now?!"I said
"No no, I'm not... I'm just saying" Rico said
"Then don't say anything you bufflehead!" I said and threw him a pillow
"Can you stop romancing with your "bestie" and listen to me..." Jack said
"Shut up Jack we're not romancing!"
"Did he say we are?" Rico asked
"I said don't say anything!" I yelled at him
"Why?" Jack asked
"I'm not talking to you" I said to Jack
"Oh ok" Rico said
"No not you" I said to Rico
"Huh?"Jack said
"I'm talking to you" I said pointing at Rico
"Me?" Jack and Rico said at the same time.
"I said..."
"What right do you have to tell me what to do young lady?!" Jack ranted.
"What makes you think you can tell me what to do !" Rico said
"Can you two shut the F* up!" I yelled and chucked my phone on the bed in full frustration.
Rico stared for a while.
"What's up with her" Rico said supposedly to himself.
"Why are the guys in my life so annoying?!!" I screamed into a pillow
"Hello?" Jack hollered
"I'm hanging up now" I said and hanged up .
Ok so that happened.
I shot Rico a look and he smiled sheepishly, scratching the back of his head
"RICO ANTONIO SANCHEZ..."
Rico sat on my bed backing me. Then fell backwards like a log and his head landed on my lap.
"You were saying?" he said looking directly at my eyes.
"Get off me, I'm mad at you" I said
"what did I do?" He said smiling at me
"Don't ask me that... you know what you did"
"I don't remember... why not refresh my memory mama" Rico said smirking me
" Get off me you dirty flirt" I chuckled as I pushed him off me.
"Meanie" Rico pouted.
" Ok get out, I want to freshen up."
