FROM THE VERY BEGINNING, IT WAS ALWAYS KOOK'S AND POGUES. Some with everything, and some with nothing. That's the way it's always been. And that's how they wait to keep it.
Some people make the best of it. And some people fight against it. Some pity themselves for both the losses and gains. The Merchant gold was a part of that. That treasure was a way out. How the scaled evened. How the Pogues win. But at some point... you kind of have to wonder, was the treasure an escape? Or was it a trap?
Arms wrapped together between two girls under the shade of a gaping cave. Dreams formed in the twos heads, ones that took them away from the island they were stranded on and to a place they much desired more.
Rein's dream consisted of a long memory. One from sixth grade where she first met two boys that would change her life forever. Her feet stood up onto the longboard as she ripped a wave, her body moving gracefully with the current as she glided over the water effortlessly. The eleven year old was too focused on keeping herself up right to notice the two boys stood at the shore with boards clutched in their own hands.
A young John B and JJ stood just in the tide as they watched the girl they never seen before catching waves one after another. Her hand splashing at the water in frustration every time she tried to show off and failed. Her brunette hair flowed straight down her back due to the sopping wet condition of it, a single strand sticking to her face as she sat atop the board and watched out to the sea surrounding her.
