Chapter 2

ELLIE POV:

I wake up to a knock on the door. I get up and see it's dark still. I carefully walk to the door so I don't bump into anything. I look at the couch and Y/n is not there. Weird, I go to the front door and it was Dina.

"Hey Ellie can I talk to you?" She said in a scratchy voice

It looks like she has been crying, I nodded and moved out of the door way to let her know that she can come in. I still don't know where Y/n went. I told Dina to sit on the couch and I would get her something to drink. I went into the kitchen and see a note on my counter and pick it up. It's from Y/n I start to read the paper.

"Hey Ellie, I am not here because I had to go

back on patrol. I'm sorry I was hoping to have

a little more time to hangout with you. I'll see

you at the patrol tonight.;)"

I put the note down and I get a little furious that Y/n had patrol again. Jackson has been assigning to many patrols to her for the past week. I start grabbing a drink and poured it into a cup. I walk to Dina and hand her the drink.

"Thank you" She says

I hesitate to say

"What's going on?" I ask

"Well.. Jessie broke up with me" She responds trying not to burst into tears.

"Ooh shit.. I'm sorry is there anything I can do?" I said

"Can you just hug me until I feel a bit better." She asks

I nodded and wrapped my arms around Dina. I get a bit of joy, Jessie broke up with Dina this is my chance to take her out. That depends if she likes girls, now that I think about does she?

Once I felt like it was time to let go. I went to look at her. She starts crying, I went back into a hug and let her cry into my shoulder.

Y/N POV:

Finally patrol is over and I arrived at the base. On my way, I went to get some groceries from the town. Once I was done, I slowly start walking home. Debating if I should go to Jessie house or just go home for my next patrol. I notice I'm turning towards his house, I guess I'll go to his house cause I'm heading that way.

Just as I arrived at his door, I was about to knock the door, but Jesse beat me to it. I look at him, it looks like he hasn't slept for days.

"Looks like someone hasn't been taking their pills." I joke around

"Are you gonna make fun of me all day or get in?" he says with a straight face

"Ooh someone is in a mood." I respond while walking inside with the groceries

"What did you get?" he said

"Let's see uhm a punch in the face... ohh I know, What the hell happened to you today?!" I asked

"I don't know what your talking about?" He says acting clueless

"Uh-Huh than why do you look like you haven't slept for days?"

"It's nothing big, Dina and I broke up." He says getting quieter

"WHAT YOU GUYS DID WHAT. W-WHY, HOW." I shout

"I mean we argue constantly over little things, I got tired of her but I didn't think through it." He says fast

"Well..I'm sorry, do you need a hug or a kick in the balls?" I say

"Neither thank you, I'll take whatever your making though." He said

"Ooh okay, I'm making a knuckle sandwich!" I say in a sarcastic voice

"Please I'm hungry for anything but that." He sarcasticly responds to me

"Okay fine, I'll make grilled cheese." I surrendered

I grabbed a knife cutting the butter, spreading it on the bread. Then set the bread on the pan. I put cheese on it than put another piece of bread on and flipped the bread over and repeat. Once we finished the grilled cheese I made, I noticed it was getting darker. I told him I gotta go and walked out of his house. I should probably head home and get stuff before going to patrol

ELLIE POV:

After Dina left, I went to find something to eat. Once I did, I grabbed my weapons and walked out of my house and went off to Y/n house. I see someone walking out of Jessie's house and notice they were going to same place I was.

I get closer to the person and realize it's Y/n. I tapped her shoulder, she turned her head towards me.

"Following me are we now?" She says

"What were you doing at Jessie's?" I questioned

"He needed someone today so I was there." She answers

"So you know about it than." I said

"Yep, I mean I kind of knew it was gonna happen they fought all the time." She said

"Yeah, we're you two just talking or...." I hesitate to say it.

"Oh God no! I'm not into him or his kind of gender at all! We just talked I made food and than left. She exclaims

She doesn't like men? I never knew that I always thought she like guys.

"Oh shit sorry, I didn't know." I say

"Not a lot of people do but it's okay, it's not your fault." She said

We arrived at her house, she went inside while I waited outside for her to get everything she needed. I felt like she was packing everything she owned. Once she was out side and said

"Okay let's go!"

I didn't know how to start this but I figured it out. I hope this turns out very well. I think if the story continues your going to see Dina and Ellie date for a bit. I don't know I am debating If I should or not. Let me know I should or not. Thank you for reading this story.
