Before my jet landed, I said goodbye to Maxwell, and Meredith, they were having sparring sessions after Maxwell got checked for his ranking as a hunter, turns out he's an A-rank.
“Miss Medici, Go Gunhee is waiting for you outside~” Peter said, bowing a bit as I scoffed.
“It still feels weird when you're too formal towards me” I teased a bit as he chuckled.
“It's also for business purposes Ieri~ we don't want them interfering with our personal relationships” he laughed, I chuckled at his response, also agreeing with him.
Upon exiting the Jet, the gust of wind blew the strands of my platinum blonde hair, as my eyes landed on, none other than Go Gunhee.
I smiled towards him, as I approached him, there was also a man standing behind him, I assumed it was his secretary, Woo Jin-Chul.
“It's a pleasure to meet you Chairman Go Gunhee” I spoke, clearly happy to be in his presence.
“I am also honoured to be facing you, life” he stated, making me look up at him, I was tense, yet I didn't show it and kept my calm expression.
I can feel both Jin-Chul and Peter’s eyes, looking at us with such curiosity. Peter is curious as to how Go Gun-hee knew about my codename, while Jin-Chul might be confused as to why his boss called me Life.
“You don't need to flatter me with nicknames Mr. Go~” I waved my hand at him softly.
“Oh, it just sounded right Ms. Medici~ in fact, I can tell why it sounds right” he smiled warmly at me.
‘he knew who I was’ I was taken aback, yet I kept my posture, I smiled warmly at him, as he just nodded, acknowledging my realisation.
“Come and let us lead you to the place you'll be staying for a while~” he stated as he led us to a black van, and then started our journey to the building of the Korean Hunter's Association.
In the van, I sat there comfortably as Peter handed me a few papers. I couldn't help but frown a bit, earning a chuckle from Go Gun-hee.
I looked up and saw him chuckling at the reaction I made earlier when Peter handed me the papers. “Not a big fan of papers I see” he teased.
I can feel Peter smiling at the remark, I smiled as I sighed in defeat “my apologies, I just can't help but to hate letters on plain white papers, I'm a person who enjoys colourful visuals~” I might be a bookworm, but the books I've been reading recently is so far from what these files are about.
“I can agree with you that there's something more about analysing pictures and portraits than reading” he told me laughing a bit, making me chuckle as well.
“Well at least I know that I'm not alone” I stated, then soon put my attention to the paper in my hands, reading the letters printed on the white surface. “So I've heard the situation in Jeju Island” I said looking up at him.
