"Guys, I think Joey might be cheating on me."

Everyone turned to face you with confusion masking their features, Monica shaking her head as Rachel spoke up for everyone.

"Wait, what would make you think that, sweetie?"

You let out a sigh. "He's been getting a lot of calls, going out late at night with no explanation, not seeing me as often."

Rachel frowned. "Didn't he just say how great it was going between you two?"

You nodded, tucking a piece of loose hair behind your ear. You were simply confused and anxious of the results. Chandler speaking up broke the silence.

"I'm sure it's something else, ____."

You nodded, standing up and heading out of the coffee shop as Joey entered. "Where are you going?"

"So now you care about me?"

Joey raised his eyebrows in confusion, watching you walk out of the coffee shop and down the street.

"Hey, what was that all about?" He asked his friends as Monica sat up quickly. "I don't know, maybe you should tell us that."

A confused expression flowed over his face, causing Monica to continue.

"Oh, she told us about you sneaking out with no explanations and not spending as much time with her. And always being on the phone? Come on, Joey. She loves you a lot, and this is how you treat her?"

He nervously looked down. "Actually."

Monica crossed her arms, Ross and Rachel eagerly looking up for an explanation. He slipped out a ring out of his pocket in his coat, a smile brightening on his lips as Monica let out a gasp, standing up quickly to examine it.

"Oh my god, Joey! This is why you haven't been as close with her? Because you're going to propose!"

He nodded, looking down at the ring in his fingers. "Yeah, I'm going to propose to her."

"Nice to see you home." You said to Joey as he entered the apartment holding a small box in his hand, hidden behind his coat. You sat at the bar, watching as he turned off the lights, confusion growing on your face.

"Joey?"

He walked to where the candles he had laid out earlier were as he lit a few, bringing them to the den where he called you over.

"Joey, what the hell is going on?"

He let out a soft sigh.

"____, we've been together for about a year now. I know to some people that might not be a long time, but it's been the best and brightest year of my life. I love you a lot, ____, you've kept me from doing stupid things and I know that you think I'm perfect when I'm not but god, you're the most perfect woman I've ever met. Not to include you're hot as hell, so that's just the added bonus. Anyways, what I'm really trying to say is,"

He got down on one knee as your hands went to your mouth, covering the gasp that was silently coming from your lips. Tears started falling down your cheeks as you looked down at him.

"____ _____, will you marry me?"

You nearly shrieked, nodding as he got up and placed the ring on your finger. You wrapped your arms around his neck, pulling him close to you as he held back.

He let go to plant a kiss on your lips, holding you close still. You let go, still crying as you looked down at the ring on your finger.

"I'm engaged." You said aloud, looking back up at him to see a simple smile on his lips. "I'm actually engaged."

"Can we come in!" Ross called out, waiting for the door to open. Joey yelled back a yes as he gang entered the room.

"Let me see, let me see, let me see!" Monica shoved her way forwards, grabbing your hand as you stared down at it yourself.

"It's beautiful, how did Joey pick such a good one?" She complimented. You chuckled, wiping your tears as Rachel brought you into her arms.

"I'm engaged, Rachel. I'm engaged."

She nodded. "I'm so happy for you, sweetie. He better make you very happy."

You turned back around, looking at him before reaching out for him once more. He gratefully accepted, pulling you into his embrace.

You couldn't wipe the smile off your lips.
