Yes, another one from Peter. I know. I'm surprised nobody really is wondering about him. He's got a few secrets. Right? Ri- Okay.

I just have something to say. Can we just appreciate how much better my writing has gotten?

I have one more thing. One of my friends was judging me playfully, so I was like, "Wait. I can't find it." He said, "What?" I smiled and walked away. "Where I asked for your opinion."

:Peter:

I peer through the long grass. I see his pack's border. Now, I wouldn't know where it was if I had never been here, before. "It's Wednesday, men. We're here."

:Jack:

"Happy birthday, Ace," I ruffle the hair on his head, and hand him Jasmyn.

"Thanks, Uncle Jack. I can hold her, 'cause I'm eight, right?"

"Right. Be extra careful, though. Go sit on a chair, or something."

He nods, and slowly teeters away.

I sigh when Ellie comes up behind me. "Hey, there, schön. Wie war dein morgen?" (Beautiful. How has your morning been?)

"Okay. Wie geht es Ihnen?" (Okay. How are you?)

"Not bad, meine Liebe. Not bad." (My love.)

She takes my hand in hers and leads me to the front of the house. "My family is here."

"How do you know that?"

"I have heightened senses, in case you forgot."

I nod. "Of course, I just didn't see them."

A grey Chevy Equinox pulls up beside one of my vehicles.

A lady rushes out to Ellie. "El! How are you! Aw, baby!" Pretty soon, she is headed my way.

"Raina," I nod, holding my hand out.

Ellie's mother embraces me tightly, knocking the wind out of me.

I clear my throat when she backs up.

"Where are my grandchildren?! Oh, hello, Atticus. How are you, dear?"

I face my mate, whilst she laughs lightly.

"Annie!" They meet halfway, hugging and laughing.

I sigh, turning around, and heading back into the yard.

"Daddy!" Isaiah calls, throwing himself onto my leg.

I pick him up. "Hey, why aren't you enjoying the party?"

"You looked lonely," he shrugs. "If it makes you feel better, Daddy, you're my favourite."

I grin. "I'd better be. I'm much more fun than Mommy."

He nods eagerly. "Can you get the water guns?"

"We're going to have a water gun fight later."

"Okay." He looks up into my eyes. "Daddy, why are you sad?"

I look back at Ellie talking to her friend and her mate. Then, in front of me, Atti was playing with his wife, son, and Brenna. Julius and Jasmyn were running around. "What makes you think I'm sad."

"Daddy, you told me if I didn't make friends, I would be sad. I have friends. You don't."

I frown. "I have friends."

"No, you don't."

"What about Tyler and Shane? They're my friends."

"They left yesterday for a trip to somewhere," he points out.
