Dinner it is

"Ava! Your friend is here to see you!" My mom called from downstairs.

Did I go deaf or have I started hearing things? Who could that possibly be.

I was currently doing my history assignment, so I dropped my pen and got off bed, heading down.

I stopped when I saw who was standing by the door.

'the fuck is she doing here' ' how did she know this place?'

"Hey" she waved smiling like an idiot.

I put both hands in my sweat pant standing close to her

"What are you doing here?" I asked dryly.

"Ava" My mom scolded

"That's no way to invite your friend in" I rolled my eyes

What friend...

"She's not my friend mom"

I walked away from the door, slowly heading back to my room. I was about to close the door when Aliyah entered quickly.

"I never said you could come in" I said bored. She only smiled, showing her dimples

"Well we have a project to finish and I'm not leaving till we're half way done"

I looked at her with a bored expression, noticing her determination.

"Whatever" I said bored.

I pulled out my chair and sat on it, opening my laptop to get the project started.

From the corner of my eyes I noticed she was about to sit on my bed.

"What do you think you're doing?" I asked annoyed.

She looked confused
"Taking a seat?" Her expression was really cute but i was on bitch mode

"On my bed?"

"Well it's not like you offered me any" she folded her alms around her chest pouting.

I sighed

"You came in uninvited so you can stand. And take notes"

She looked defeated but nevertheless walked to stand next to me.

"Not so close to me"

She nodded, giving me a reasonable distance.

Like i said.. bitch mode

I dictated points for her to note down and she did so obediently.

"this is stupid" I heard her mutter.

My door opened forcefully as my mom came bursting in, like the nosy parent she was

"Ava i made cooki..." She stopped
"Ava, why's she standing?"

I rolled my eyes.

There goes my fun

We were done for today and I wanted her out as fast as possible so I can lay  drown and enjoy my music.

"Ava come downstairs now" my mom shouted. I rolled my eyes.

This woman..

As I left my room, I met instantly with Ben, looking at me weirdly

"Move, you're in my way" I said dryly

"Who's your hot friend" he said looking downstairs
I shrugged

"What friend?"
Brushing past him, making sure to bump shoulders with him.

As the living room came into view I saw mom laughing while interrogating the poor girl, who looked so nervous.

This earned an eye roll from me.

As I approached them, I could hear their conversation

"Why don't you stay for dinner" I heard my mom say

Please say no I prayed as I studied her expression.

She looked hesitant but then her gaze fell on me and she smiled

"Dinner it is" she said cheerfully.

I groaned

Can't this dying girl have her peace.

I walked back upstairs making sure to close my door to avoid unwanted guests. 30minutes of sanity is all I need right now, I set my alarm for 30minutes

I plugged my airpods and went straight to my playlist.

I taped on Coldplay, closing my eyes to sleep.
