Hi weirdos! I'm going to be improvising the script for the chapter, so don't come at me for being off.

Stay weird fellow humans!

Arabella's POV

I was sitting in Gaius' chambers reading a book on poisonous plants when Merlin came running.

"I've just seen one of the snakes in Valiant's shield come alive. He's using magic." He shouted,

"Are you sure?" I looked up from my book,

"Yes!" He then turned to Gaius,

"Gaius, the wounds on his neck, you said they resemble snake bites, right?" When the physician nodded Merlin continued,

"The snakes on the shield, they came to life!" Gaius got up from his chair and went over to Sir Ewan,

"If that's the case the only way I can heal him is with the snake's venom." He said,

"Merlin and I will go." They both looked at me wide-eyed,

"Ara, you sure you want to go near him?" Merlin asked, I looked him dead in the eye and smirked,

"Positive."

Merlin's POV

It was the next day, I had to get up early to get Arthur prepared for his fight.

"You've got to fight that?" I asked, slightly alarmed,

"Yes." Arthur replied,

"He's as strong a bear but he's slow." I nodded, getting what he was implying,

"And your fast."

"Exactly." I finished fastening his armor and handed him his sword after he made his way to the floor.

Arabella's POV

Arthur had won his match and was now to face Valiant in the final battle. Merlin and I knew that meant Valiant would try and use his shield against Arthur, so we formulated a plan.

"Maybe Uther would listen to you, after all, he seems to like you very much." Merlin suggested,

"Uther may like me, but he would still take a knight's word over that of a servant." Then, it hit me,

"If we can get the venom of the snakes on Valiant's shield, we can cure Ewan and he can tell Uther what happened!" He looked at me with a grin plastered on his face,

"Let's get going then." We got up and went straight for the door.

--- Valiant's Chambers ---

Merlin and I had just seen Valiant leave the guest room that was set up for him for the feast, so we opened the door and went in. I saw the shield and motioned for my brother to come closer when we heard someone approaching the room. We both turned to look at the door. All of a sudden, Merlin and I see the shadow of a snake on the wall and he grabs a sword from the small rack positioned near the door and with one swing, cut its head clean off, "Thank you." I mouthed as I picked up the snakehead and we both ran for the door, hiding behind one of the pillars so we wouldn't be seen. Then we raced off to Gaius so he could create the antidote.

--- Arthur's Chambers ---

Arthur's POV

I was in my chambers eating my dinner when my servant Merlin came walking in. Merlin then put the head of a snake on the table, "Valiant is using magic." I stared at him in confusion,

"And this is?" I asked in confusion,

"The head of one of the snakes on Valiant's shield," Belle said, came walking from behind Merlin,

"How did you get this..." I trailed off while looking at the snake,

"I cut it off." Merlin piped up,

"You?" I quirked an eyebrow,

"He's not lying, I was there and it almost bit me." Belle gestured to the snake while defending her brother,

"This is ridiculous, Valiant wouldn't dare use magic in Camelot." My tone became serious at what they were suggesting,

"He used it on Sir Ewan who had to puncture in his neck, he was pinned under the shield so Valiant could've used it without anyone realizing it." I glanced at them both and sighed,

"I want you to promise me what your saying is true."

"We promise!" They said in unison,

"Then I believe you." Belle's facial expression quickly changed to one of pure relief, while her brother let out a breath,

"I best be off then, Gaius needs my help," Merlin said before he ran towards the exit,

"I just wanted to thank you, for what you did the other day. I am in your debt." I looked at Belle properly for the first time tonight. She had under eye bags meaning she didn't get much rest and her hair was slightly frizzy from all the running she did,

"No need to thank me, Arabella. What Valiant did was unacceptable, I'm just glad I got there when I did." I saw tears prick in her eyes, so I walked closer to her,

"Don't cry over him, he's not worth it. I whispered as I wiped a tear from her eye. She then talked me in a hug which I gladly returned. I stood there, inhaling her scent. She smelt of Jasmine and some plant that I couldn't recognize. We stayed like that for about a minute when she pulled away,

"Goodnight Arthur." She smiled, a slight blush creeping onto her cheeks as she realized what just happened,

"Goodnight Belle." At the nickname, her pink cheeks flamed red and she walked out of my chambers. I got in my bed in hopes of getting a few hours of sleep in before tomorrow,

"I would never let anything like that happen to you. Ever." I whispered as I let sleep takeover.
