Kayden's POV.

I was staring at the papers that were laying before me. I tried to focus on work, but my mind wandered off to Luna.

She could come home at any moment now from the clinic, Cole texted us to gather at Isaac's office in 10 to discuss her condition.

I hope she was snapped out of her numb state from yesterday, it worried me to know she was isolating herself.

I made my way to Isaac, nervously waiting on Cole's arrival. I knocked on the door, and went inside without approval to come in. Everyone was already here, sitting in the chairs or couch.

I placed myself on the couch next to Aiden who was checking the time on his phone. A few quiet minutes passed when the door was opened by Cole.

All our heads snapped to him, waiting for Cole to start informing us on Luna's condition.

He wasn't a person to beat around the bush and immediately started talking after closing the door.

"Her cuts weren't worrying except the one on her wrist, which is now sewed close, I will take the stitches out in a few days. She has a few first degree burns on her arms which are treated with a special ointment, they will heal quickly because they are not too severe."

I let out a sigh that I didn't know I was holding.

"Dr. Anderson did a pelvic exam and concluded everything was fine. However, her ribs and ankle are very serious. She has two broken ribs, and the others are severely bruised. There is not much we can do about it, I will give her strong painkillers to help the pain. She has to ice them two times a day to reduce the swelling," Cole continued.

My face fell at his statement, I expected her ribs to be bad after seeing them myself, but not one rib was spared from the bastard.

Cole started talking again

"Her ankle has a lot of scar tissue and is wrongly healed. Fixing it will be a long and painful process, she will need to do some physical therapy after. I suggest we wait till she is fully healed and ready," Cole proposed.

"Isn't she in pain while she's walking?" Ethan asked with a shocked look.

"Yes, therefore I applied a bandage to support her while walking and prescribed her an ointment to relax the muscles. It will help her a bit until her operation," Cole replied.

He waited a few minutes to let the news sink in, it was a lot.

"What worries me most is that she's still not responding," my older brother said.

"We need to do something, she can't stay like this forever," Aiden hissed.

"Maybe we can try to get her attention and talk to her, get a response out of her," Ethan suggested.

"I want to discuss something with you, she's not eating or drinking when she is in this state. It's dangerous because she's already too thin. I can put in an infusion to give her the necessary nutrients, but I recommend doing this when there is no other option left," Cole explained with a sorrowful look.

For the umpteenth time, my heart fell into my stomach.

"Let's give her time till tonight. We will try to reach her like Ethan suggested, and attempt to get her to eat. If it not works, you can put in an Infusion," Isaac said with a firm voice.

"Is she back in her room?" I asked Cole and he nodded.

I entered her room without knocking because I knew it would be pointless.
